Hanta is a tall, thin young man with chin-length black hair that spikes downwards, with uneven bangs that reach the middle of his forehead. He has almond-shaped eyes, always has black eyeliner under his eyes and rather large, straight teeth that dominate his smile, according to Katsuki Bakugo and Midnight he has a rather plain face, sports some piercings in his ears and in his eyebrow, and has black painted nails. His elbows are shaped like cylindrical tape dispensers, from which he fires his Quirk.

His Hero Costume consists of a skin-tight black bodysuit with a simple turtleneck, aside from a white design on his mid-torso area and two yellow trim around each of his elbow-length sleeves. He wears white boots, lined with yellow, and has short white bands around his waist and the sides of his thighs, a larger one across his chest to connect to shoulder pads that are shaped like tape dispensers. He completes his outfit with a yellow helmet, shaped similarly to the shoulder pads, which has a large black visor that obscures his face.

Hanta is a very friendly person and has proven to be one of the most sociable members of Class 1-A. He can be loud and showy at times, often trying to impress his classmates with his Quirk.

Hanta Sero is gay, he is only attracted to men.
