The campaign allows the player to assume control of a faction of the time period, and build a civilization, both economically and militarily in order to conquer other factions.

(1066-1280) Early troops equipped with gambesons or simple tunics,chainmails,scale or lamellar armour troops will use shields spears,axes,swords, bows and crossbows armies will mainly composed by militia or noble soldiers (1280-1453) High troops equipped with brigadines or Churburg plate armours and early gunpowder weapons and longsword and polearms will be mainly used or infantry leaving aside shields armies will be composed by mercenaries or man's at arms and urban militia

(1453-1525) Late troops equipped with renaisance uniforms Gothic, Milanese, Maximilian plate armours and using gunpowder weapons such as pikes arquebuses,culverins and professional armies
