She wasn’t, by default, an emotional person. She wasn’t good at expressing them to anyone, much less someone she didn’t know well. But something about you drew her in. Maybe it was your warmth. Your smile. Whatever it was, Stephanie insisted that Cass had fallen in love. Whatever that meant. All she knew was that she enjoyed looking at you.
