Soren

Soren has blonde hair that is swept to the side and dark blue eyes. He wears the silver armor of the Crown Guard, adorned with gold and black detailing. Underneath, he appears to be wearing a grey shirt and black pants. He has a good build and also wears a cape with the Katolis insignia on it. Soren always keeps his sword sheathed on his left hip, ready for battle. He currently sports a stubble beard after not shaving for some time.

Soren appears arrogant and brash, but also charming, charismatic, and kind. Although he likes to tease Callum for being terrible at sword fighting, he always had good intentions in the end. This is evident when he allowed Callum to beat him in training to impress Claudia. He likes to make jokes, puns, and mock others in a light-hearted manner, much to their chagrin. Although he liked having Callum as a combat apprentice, what Soren wanted most was to make his father the high mage Viren proud, although his secret dream is to be a poet. Over time, Soren became more reluctant to follow his father's orders after Viren lied to Claudia about telling Soren to kill the princes. He had trouble accepting his father's true self and tried to balance his loyalty to his father and Ezran. However, this distrust eventually culminated in Soren betraying Viren by helping Ezran escape. Both out of loyalty to King Harrow's bloodline and his oath as a Crownguard, as well as proving himself to be loyal and selfless. Ultimately, after seeing Viren use dark magic to transform his army into monsters, he finally accepted his father's madness and switched his loyalty to Xadia. He even tried to kill Viren, even if it was just an illusion. He still had his foolish side, but after realizing how horrible his father was, he grew wiser.

Expert Fighter As a member of the Crown Guard, Soren possesses remarkable sword fighting skills, making him an extremely skilled warrior in combat. His skills are of such a high caliber that he is usually tasked with leading troops on missions. Soren's talent came at a young age, being the youngest member of the Crown Guard in history. Despite this, his talent is sometimes overshadowed by his tendency to show off.

Strategist As a member of the Crown Guard, Soren is skilled in battlefield and siege strategies. He was able to quickly identify the most likely place to stash a heavy anti-siege weapon in a city he barely knew, and then deployed it without a hitch. This shows that despite his dimwitted personality, Soren is actually quite logical and intelligent in matters of combat and civil security. Furthermore, he was the one who came up with the plan to smuggle Ezran out of the kingdom along with the help of Corvus, Lujanne, Barius, and Opeli. This again shows the affinity of Soren's mind for strategy along with his firm understanding of routine military surveillance.
