In the past (pre-Trolls), BroZone are about to go on and have 1 minute until their show time. Baby Branch peaks at the crowd. John Dory is excited and declares Brozone will make "Boy Band history tonight". Spruce is doing push ups and John dory tells him to do 100 more before show time. Clay questions why he has to keep wearing Funderpants, but John Dory tells him its because their fun. Floyd tells John Dory to relax as his stressing out, John Dory replies to note that his stressed because its the first show of the tour. John Dory states they promised the fans they'd reach the perfect family harmony tonight, an act that can shatter diamond and Floyd points out John Dory is making Baby Branch nervous, which causes John Dory to say his not allowed to be nervous.

Floyd goes to reassure Branch on the show, telling him he has the pre-show jitters and that he remembers his with his brothers when he gets them. Branch states that no one has done perfect family harmony before, but John Dory states thats because they have to be perfect. As the brothers chatter the 10 second warning hits. John Dory tells them to follow his lead and then is asked what happens if they fail. He ensures them they cannot fail because then their nothing and to just follow his lead.

BroZone enters the stage and are introduced individually. They begin the song Perfect and everything is going fine. They begin to glow, when John Dory notes means its happening. As the brothers continue, the others rush to follow John Dory's lead. However, a small misbalance causes their currently formation to fall apart, and Clay, Spruce, Floyd and John Dory fall in a heap. Branch states that he "ruined everything" as he blames himself for the mishap.

Out of concert, John Dory, Spruce and Clay argue over things, with John Dory claiming that they didn't follow his lead. Spruce confronts him and states its because of his lead their concert fell apart, but John dory states that that's the only way to achieve perfect family harmony. Spruce states maybe the don't want to do it, while Clay backs up Spruce as they don't want to be perfect anymore. Spruce says he is leaving taking his abs with him and Clay tosses the Funderpants at him. Clay tells him he wants to be taken seriously and will find Trolls who do. John Dory tells them he quits and going solo, thus he leaves their pod. Spruce and Clay then leave and all Branch can do is watch. Floyd begs Clay and Spruce to not leave, but after they do, Branch blames himself and Floyd realizes he has to leave too and talks to Branch. He leaves Branch with their grandma, giving Branch his leafy vest, Branch states when he returns they will make a bunker together with their brothers. Branch can only say good bye as he watches the last of his brothers leave promising to return.

In the current timeline, Branch is listening to the song "Perfect", Poppy interrupts his reflection and Branch quicky excuses himself stating he was missing his grandma. Poppy states she loves BroZone and Branch is suprised but covers up the reason he is listening to the record. The pair head out to the wedding of Bridget and King Gristle Jr..

Poppy and Branch goes out of the Troll Pod to sing Let's Get Married as they prepare for the wedding. Meanwhile, Poppy helps Bridget get ready along with Satin & Chenille. As the medley ends, Bridget enters the ceremony wearing balloons shaped into clouds, making her float towards Gristle in the sky. Poppy states Bridget is like a sister to her as she thanks Poppy. The balloons pop revealing Bridget is wearing a white jumpsuit and roller skates and Gristle comments she is just like an Angel. His Aunt Smead tells him he still has time to back down.

The ceremony begins but is soon interrupted by someone. This turns out to be John Dory who has returned from his 20 year departure and is Branch's long lost brother. Branch denies having a brother as he was abandoned by him long ago. Poppy is shocked to learn Branch was "Baby Branch" and in her favorite band BroZone and everyone is watching the scene unfold in awe. King Peppy meanwhile gets nervous about unknown family members. Gristle is starting to question things as this is interrupting their wedding, but Bridget want things to continue as she is excited about the revelations going on. When Branch was in the Band he was known as "Bitty B", and since Branch no longer wears glasses and a diaper this is why Poppy never realized, and Branch comments he also had a falsetto made of gold but its all in the past. Branch notes BroZone stopped being his brothers the moment they all walked out. John Dory claimed that he did return but no one was there and he didn't know Branch was even alive until the events of Trolls World Tour.

Branch states John Dory is only here because he needs something and Poppy tries to say his is here because his Branch's brother, John Dory then backs up Branch's statement but wants to be heard out. It turns out he received a letter from Floyd saying he is trapped by superstars Velvet and Veneer. John dory travelled to Mount Rageous and met up with Floyd who thought he'd never see any of his brothers again. However, John Dory was unable to free Floyd, because the glass bottle he was in was made of diamond and can only be shattered by Perfect Family Harmony. As Velvet and Veneer are heard returning, John Dory escapes.

Branch upon hearing the story is not impressed as it involves something BroZone tried once and failed to achieve causing their split in the first place. Poppy says their in and Branch points out she doesn't have any siblings so doesn't understand whats going on. Poppy states if she did have a sister they'd be best friends and King Peppy looks nervously on as Poppy talks about what having a sister would be like and states is she was in trouble she would do anything to rescue her. Branch notes that if he had to save any of his brothers, Floyd would be the one he would run off to save, though the others would be questionable if he would. As Poppy gets excited as she didn't hear a "no", their ride turns up. Gristle states he would like to get married to Bridget already. The two are married and the Trio of Trolls set off as Bridget and Gristle set off on their honeymoon.

Velvet and Veneer are in "The Bop On Top" interview, Veneer claims Velvet is his inspiration while Velvet claims she is her own. The two talk about their raise to fame in just 2 months. The two are up for the Life-Time award for their achievements. Their last concert is that weekend at the Rage Dome, and while Velvet brags their achievements are a result of hard work and talent, the reality is shown while they are in their own recording booth that the two can barely sing and are talentless.

They leave the booth, eat into their assistant Crimp and order her to stand in the corner. Velvet takes talent from Floyd despite him pleading he has barely enough talent left for a Christmas Alarm or a one off National Anthem cover. Velvet sprays herself with Floyd's talent after noting she can always kiss their careers good bye and turn to charity funding raising. She starts to sing perfectly and notes how closely the pair are to having everything they thought they deserved, after noticing Veneer is acting moody Veneer points to Floyd who is having the life sucked out of him. Veneer is concerns as they barely have enough Trolls to get through dress rehearsal, but Velvet has already covered them - it turns out the letter from Floyd is actually from Velvet who plans to lure in and capture the entirety of BroZone. The two go off to buy matching yachts while Floyd sings and Crimp plays the ukulele.

Now leaving Bergen Town, Branch announces the beginning of "Operation Family Harmony". Tiny invites himself along as the driver claiming to no longer be baby and presenting his driver's license. Branch presents his clue board and Poppy gets distracted by the pictures of BroZone in various outfits. John Dory states they don't need Branch's board and presents a postcard by Spruce. Branch scoffs at it until they find the exact Island in the picture (words from the postcard and all). John Dory drives off a cliff into the ocean.

Meanwhile, Bridget is shown driving a low rider motorcycle to a water park with Gristle as they enter their honeymoon.

Poppy, Branch and John Dory have arrived as Vacay Island where every day is a vacation. As they make their way through the islands flora, Poppy says who wrote most of the songs for BroZone, which John Dory claims credit for. As they travel, Branch talks about his experiences with BroZone and Poppy talks about how lucky Branch is to have a brother. Branch upsets Poppy by telling her if she wants it she can have his brother. John Dory bumps into a Vacaytioner who greets them as fellow rock climbers. As they explore the island they find Spruce surfing.

They chase after Spruce at his work place as Spruce does his job. Spruce mistakes John Dory, Poppy and Branch as fans of BroZone and Joh Dory says their not fans but his brothers, Spruce turns excited and runs past John Dory to Branch and tosses him much to Branch's annoyance. Spruce still treats Branch like a baby and Branch puts his put down as his now grown up and doesn't like this sort of thing. Spruce also explains he goes by the name of "Bruce" now his a father. He introduces them to Brandy, his wife and business partner, and explains despite their size differences they "made it work". His kids then appear (only Bruce Jr. is named).

John Dory tries to explain the situation but the moment he mentions family harmony, Spruce looses interest. Upon hearing Floyd is being held hostage Spruce tells them to call the authorities and John dory says they can free him, thus needing them. With encouragement from Poppy, Spruce's kids begin to chant "prove it" when Spruce claims to have been in THE BAND. Branch is asked if his joining, and gets the same "prove it" treatment.

They sing BroZone's Back and Poppy joins in, after the song John Dory and Spruce admit that it felt good to sing together again. Spruce asks Brandy for premission to go rescue Floyd and she agrees so long as he covers for her the next month on her girls yoga retreat. She tells him he should leave before he gets pink eye.

Back at Mount Rageous, Crimp is getting Velvet and Veneer ready and present Velvet with her new outfit, which she had been told was for making smoothies, only for Velvet to instantly reveal its for hiding Floyd in plain sight. That way she can continue to steal his talent without anyone ever suspecting. Velvet is warned that this could kill Floyd and Veneer shows concern for the first time. She talks about how they were before the fame and fortune, but Veneer corrects her that they were the children of Dentists. Velvet doesn't want to go back to being a nobody, stating when she met Veneer he was a drooling mess, which Veneer notes was because he was a baby. Veneer is not prepared to give up everything he has and backs down, meanwhile Velvet notes that Crimp is smarter then she thought so doesn't trust her anymore and throws her in the closet.

Floyd pleas with Veneer to spare him, but Veneer likes his way of life too much, even though his fortune is costing him his life. After taking more of Floyd's talent, he tossed him over his shoulder. When the glass bottle settles, Floyd notices more of his body has become crystal. Crimp also notes her wifi doesn't work in the closet.

Spruce is listening to Velvet and Veneer and notes his kids love them, that their "totally a Veneer family". John Dory points out they are stealing their talent from Floyd and Spruce notes its going to be hard to separate the art from the artist. Branch gets annoyed as now John Dory and Poppy are actually using his clue board he made. Poppy notes the underwear Clay is wearing while trying to figure out where he is. Branch breaks some glass and finds the Funderdraws, stating he has no idea why John Dory kept them. Rhonda is given a whiff of the underwear and has the scent.

John Dory then tells Tiny Diamond to hit the "Hustle Button". He does so. The group ends up flying through the "Hustle Dimension" and becoming Hustle Man before landing at their destination. This is an abandoned Bergen mini-golf course called "Hole N' Fun". They question if they are at the right place, as their trusting an Armadillo Bus.

They enter the grounds and are met with a scary clown feature who demands to know why they are trespassing. This scares everyone except Branch who states he is looking for Clay. Upon realizing their Trolls, Viva appears excited to meet other Trolls. So excited that Poppy is overwhelmed and she asks Branch is this is how others feel when they meet her, and Branch replies "yes". Though Branch doesn't think they'll find Clay here, Viva soon treats them as guests and the other Putt Putt Trolls appears around her. She orders them to get food and drink, especially fries and milkshakes to celebrate. She braids Poppy's hair. Spruce says the fries would go great with a burger, but everyone panics and Viva explains it sounds too similar to Bergen so they try not to use it as it threatens everyone.

Clay reveals himself, and he greets Spruce, but shuns John dory when they meet. Viva explains she deals with the fun side of things at their village while Clay deals with the boring things, which he enjoys. Clay then spots Branch and makes a fuss of him while Branch protests for the 3rd time. Branch introduces Poppy and she asks him to do the Rusty Robot dance, but Clay now only does the "Well oiled Robot" and thats no fun. John Dory claims Clay is the same old Clay, but Clay protests he is not the same. He then asks the others where Floyd is.

The situation is explained to him. Clay tells them, like Spruce before him, to call the authorities after hearing only perfect family harmony can save him, and John Dory confirms his being held in a diamond prisoned. Clay is prepared to go along if only to manage the groups expenses. Though Branch wants to set off right away, Viva stops them. Upon hearing a "ding" from Poppy's Hug Time Bracelet, she automatically goes into hug time and notices that Poppy's bracelet is familiar as she had one just like that as a kid. It fits Viva perfectly when she tries it on and even dings for her. Vivas Poppy for her name again and Viva asks if King Peppy is her father, when Poppy says "yes" Viva is filled with excitement noting that Poppy is still alive. Confused its then revealed Viva is Poppy's sister, explaining how Poppy got Viva's hug time bracelet reacted to her.

Poppy is shocked by notes so like dad. Poppy and Viva sing, BroZone's (minus Floyd) sings It Takes Two together as back up. Viva and Poppy spend some time together to get to know each other. Poppy has a million questions and Viva talks about her time in the Troll Tree. Viva throws off the full story, but Clay meanwhile explains the reality to his Brothers (and Tiny Diamond, who is being carried by Spruce at this point).

Clay explains not everyone made it out of the tree and while Poppy figures out some details by herself, Viva is very reluctant to tell her, as Clay explains the full story. The night they escaped, some of the Trolls got left behind at the Tree, while Viva and a few others came back to fight them off, a boulder blocked their passage back to the main group of Trolls. Peppy went back to get the lost Trolls, but only found Viva's hug-time bracelet. Peppy back in Bergen Town finally spills the beans - to Mr. Dinkles stating he should have told Poppy about Viva, but the event had been traumatic for him also and he was heart broken, feeling like a failure as a King and a father. Viva rebuilt the Trolls home at the mini-golf course, and often thought about leaving, but the fear caused by the event caused her to be too scared and frightened to leave to go looking for her father and sister.

Poppy has to unpack this and wants to leave it to the journey on the way to Mount Rageous, but then Viva reveals she is not going - nor is Poppy. Clay is trying to escape with his brothers before Viva notices, but when Branch goes to get Poppy Clay tells him Viva isn't going to let her go and they need to leave now. Viva, however, confronts Clay and the other Putt Putt Trolls close the gate. Viva is confronted by Poppy who reveals none of them are leaving because its not safe. Poppy asks if its to do with the Bergens and notes their friends (as of Trolls). Viva doesn't believe her. Poppy reveals Bridget, who she at this point has been talking to Viva about is a Bergen and their best friends and that Bridget is like a sister. Branch chimes in with his own story of his Bunker, trying to reason with Viva about fear.

At that moment while she is distracted, Clay opens the gate since no one is paying attention to him, stating he doesn't want to loose Floyd. Viva runs past the threshold of the mini-golf course, but steps back as she cannot bring herself to leave its safety for long. She pleas with Poppy to stay, but Poppy cannot. She asks Viva to come, back she cannot either. So Viva closes the gate, Poppy leaves a scrapbook of her and Bridget's adventures behind.

At Mount Rageous, as show time closes and BroZone is a no-show, Veneer proposes to Velvet they should practice and work for it. Floyd pretends to be dead until the duo go to flush him down the toilet. Ceasing the moment the two are distracted, Floyd makes a break for it, but no one hears his shouts of help. Velvet orders Veneer to chase down Floyd, since Crimp is locked in the closet. He does so, and grabs Floyd. Floyd makes another attempt to plea to Veneer. Floyd points out Velvet's abuse, but when she catches up to Veneer she manipulates him with insincere praises. He falls for it and is told to tell Crimp to hire a new assistant. He orders Crimp to do so.

Elsewhere, BroZone gets to work preparing for their rescue. They wear their old attire, Branch even puts on his old diaper. John Dory automatically stops the routine and says its not working, he points out the things the brothers are doing wrong trying to make them perfect again, touching old wounds that caused the band to break up. John Dory is accused of trying to make them perfect again, noting they changed, meanwhile John Dory notes he isn't allowed to change. The fight continues until its revealed that after they save Floyd they all have no intentions to stick around.

Branch finally puts his foot down upon hearing their only going to break up once more and not attempt to be a family. Branch tells Tiny to stop and pull over. He finally speaks out when Spruce tells him not to be a baby, Branch states that they hate John Dory for how he treats them, but then hypocritically treat him like a baby. He states he stopped being a baby the day they all walked out and when Grandma Rosiepuff was eaten he had no one left. Angry, he tosses a picture on the floor and states this time his the one walking out on them.

Poppy picks up the picture revealing the Fun Bunker (Branch's Survival Bunker he currently lives in) and that it was built for when they came home originally. The 3 elder brothers are shocked and left processing everything, including their Grandma being eaten.

Outside Rhonda, Branch is comforted by Poppy who chases after him, and Branch finally talks like Poppy wanted him to do early in the movie as he reveals that he thought she'd leave him like everyone else, she states she isn't going anywhere without him. They go to go forward and Tiny Diamond follows, the trio head out to save Floyd without John Dory, Clay and Spruce.

Elsewhere, Gristle and Bridget are riding on Bridget's motorcycle commenting on how Gristle had been kicked out of the Water Park. They stop and pull over when they smell French Fries, discovering the old Hole'N'Fun. They are soon attacked by Viva and the Putt Putt Trolls who don't see the threat of the Trolls due to being friendly with them and comments she didn't think they'd both be tied up this Honeymoon.

At the Rage Dome, Poppy, Branch and Tiny scale the walls to get inside. They make their way to Floyd. Branch is concerned with Floyd as he is very pale and most of his color has drained from him by this point. Floyd is happy to see Branch and Branch is happy Branch is finally called "a man" by one of his brother's. Floyd tells them to get out before their captured.

Attention is drawn to the doorway as Velvet and Veneer return, having captured the rest of BroZone and Rhonda. Rhonda is locked in the closet with Crimp. Though the brothers are happy to see Floyd, they soon argue over John Dory being easily tricked. Veneer is pleaded with by Floyd again, but now he has all members of BroZone (being unaware of Branch's existence) and has now imprisoned them too in diamond bottles. They leave and Branch and Poppy loose their chance to save Floyd and now have lost all members of BroZone.

They open the closet and meet Crimp who gives them a hug.

Gristle and Bridget meanwhile are put to the death by the Trolls and Bridget asks if its wierd if they make out, Gristle responds it would be wierd if they didn't. The Trolls are disturbed by this. Just as the pair are about to be crushed, Viva stops the machine and confronts Bridget, asking her if she is the same person in Poppy's scrapbook, she identifies Poppy as her best friend. Bridget automatically considers Viva her best friend. Viva realizes she has made a mistake, Gristle says he won't press charges, Bridget says she doesn't think thats what Viva is talking about and she confirms it. Bridget offers to let Viva to walk towards her mouth if she is afraid. Viva is just going to release them.

At the Rage Dome, Velvet and Veneer arrive. As they go to enter the Dome, they are stopped by Rhonda, Crimp, Branch and Poppy. Branch demands his brothers back. Poppy calls the pair phoneys and everyone grasps.

The two escape with Rhonda in pursuit. The pair take their act on the road, the Trolls Tiny, Branch and Poppy follow but are blocked by the amount of fans following Velvet and Veneer. Branch takes over from Tiny driving. he passes back to Tiny, they reach the End of the Road. Velvet and Veneer escape on their yacht, as they drain BroZone of their talent, Floyd is nearly his end. They use Hustle Man to reach the boat but he drops them in the river.

They are caught by Bridget and Gristle, with Viva along for the ride. Viva apologises for her actions. Bridget catches up to the yacht. They leap but fail to catch up so Gristle throws Rhonda who in turn spits out the Trolls onto the boat. They rescue John Dory and Spruce who trip up Velvet. While trying to stomp on them, Branch and Poppy are tossed over board but bounce back thanks to Rhonda. They rescue Clay.

As Velvet and Veneer finish their song, Velvet offers an encore, Veneer realizes that at this point Floyd won't last half a song. She begins to sing and drains Floyd. Branch notes Poppy said to Viva a short while ago they don't need to be perfect, and Branch notes they can do the same. The brothers agree to follow Branchs lead this time.

As Velvet goes to sing, Crimp cuts the sound of the microphone, giving BroZone the chance to sing Better Place. As they sing, they are joined by Viva and Poppy, and together BroZone achieves Perfect Family Harmony, while Floyd joins in to give his last effort to free them all from their diamond prisons. Though free, Floyd has given his last talent and is not responding. The four remaining brothers gather around them. However, because of his brothers, Floyd still has some life in him.

Finally, Veneer sees the error of his ways and confuses he and Velvet are frauds. This shocks the other Mount Rageons and he admits the pair have been torturing little Trolls. Veneer confesses most of this was Velvet's doing but he still went along. They are promptly arrested for their various crimes - Troll Knapping, Troll Torture, Fraud and Tax Evasion. Veneer accepts his fate and the two are taken away.

Poppy asks Branch how he feels. Branch is happy and Poppy says to whoa and slow down, they celebrate.

The Trolls return to Vacay Island with Gristle and Bridget included, Viva is reunited with Peppy. As BroZone reveals their about to go on stage, Kismet appears and Branch reveals he was in their band also. The two Boybands then performs "Better Place" together. Later, Poppy and Viva later joined BroZone under Branch's proposal as honorary members and then sings Family in the movie's ending.

Abilities

Troll Main Abilities While individual Tribes have abilities that only apply to them, there are some collectively common abilities shared by all Trolls, including magic and music.

Troll Hair Troll hair is a defining trait of the Trolls; all of them have it. Their hair has special properties, or magic. According to the Trolls: TrollsTopia episode "Daylight Ravings Time", Jane Hugmere's Disservation of Troll Hair Patterns states; "... on the hair patterns of early Trolls. Chapter 1 - the difference in hair folicle stimulation in our ancestors' hair patterns is a thrilling area of study...". From what little of the audio book was heard in the episode, the speaker is simply explaining that different Troll kinds have different hair based on their ancestors diversification from each other. In "Big Sis B", Rhythm quotes as fact that the average Troll has 1 million hairs.

Basic Capabilities King Peppy holding snowballs with his hair in Trolls: The Beat Goes On!. King Peppy holding snowballs with his hair in Trolls: The Beat Goes On!. Poppy, Branch and other Pop Trolls dancing with their hair in Trolls World Tour. Poppy, Branch and other Pop Trolls dancing with their hair in Trolls World Tour. While Poppy lights up her hair, Holly has hardened hers with hair spray to make it solid for drilling through rock. While Poppy lights up her hair, Holly has hardened hers with hair spray to make it solid for drilling through rock. Trolls have the ability to outstretch their hair and use as it an extra limb for hanging from tree or grab objects. It's also used in part with their ability to camouflage themselves with their environment, as Trolls can change the color of their hair. The Pop Trolls use their hair to make their homes called "pods", so Troll hair is quite strong and endurable. Branch notes in Troll 2 Troll that a Troll's hair is their best defense; Mousse and gel limit its movements. Their hair is strong and durable enough to lift up another Troll, though it's not that strong when compared to a Bergen. They can reshape their hair into different forms such as a glider, stairs, a parachute, rotor blades and a large ball to hide in. They carry everyday items in their hair such as tools, though Trolls with a larger head of hair such as Mags Gumdrop can have several Trolls in them. When it comes to Fuzzlings, it was seen in the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode "The Imposter" that their hair acts like a pocket dimension between different Fuzzlings, though this may have been only a joke.

In a number of instances within the franchise, they're seen making their hair glow to create light. In the Trolls: TrollsTopia episode "Glitter Rush", Holly Darlin' used hair spray to create a driller out of her hair and drill through rock, though her hair had limitations and TNT was able to break through more solid rock than her hair.

The abilities of a Troll's hair doesn't just apply to the their head hair, and other types of hair often have special properties too. Funk Trolls have fur on their bodies with special properties to make up for the lacking in other areas. Their hair resembles wool, whereas other Trolls' hair is more hair-like, often being completely limp and hanging down rather than sticking up like the other Troll Tribes'.

Growley Pete, a Country Troll, is also seen using his mustache as a lasso, though it's unknown if males of other Tribes are able to do the same. Chaz, a Smooth Jazz Troll, is able to stretch and puff out his chest hair.

There are other miscellaneous traits to Troll hair that can vary per Troll. Demo is shown to sharpen his hair so it's pointy enough to cut or impale things, and Holly Darlin's hair will twitch near hairicanes. In "Darlin' Dos", Poppy's hair was commented to be some of the best hairs Holly had ever seen. Holly restyles it, and then later Branch's so it's overall big. If a Troll gets into the eye of a hairicane, the storm will re-shape their hair to reflect their personality, giving the Troll a "True You Do".

Protection of Young CD83ED9C-7EF3-4F19-B78C-8D31FF19E56F Promotional art depicting Guy Diamond with Tiny Diamond in his hair.

As mentioned elsewhere, Troll hair also helps keep young Trolls safe by providing a place for them to play and hide in. Troll Eggs are also kept in the hair of the Troll, and thus Troll babies are born from the safety of their parents' hair. This is seen in both the Pop Trolls and Country Trolls.

Overall Limitations Not all the Trolls are able to use their hair in the same way, and thus not all Tribes can make their hair work the same way as another Tribe. The Funk Trolls' hair doesn't seem to be as effective as that of the Pop Trolls for general use. They still can do some of the natural Troll hair abilities, as Cooper was able to join in with the rest of The Snack Pack while creating Bridget's "Lady Glittersparkles" wig.

Their hair doesn't always cooperate. In the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode "Trolly Tales 3", Gia Grooves has her hair go out of control, and is told that it'll take her all day to get it back under control. In the ASK POPPY episode "Bad Hair Day", Guy Diamond has the same problem caused by a cowlick, and Poppy finds it impossible to restyle it for him. This was also the plot of one of the Trolls comics from Egmont Group, titled "Bad Hair Day" too.

As seen in "Hairicane", if a Trolls is trapped outside a hairicane, there is a risk of it become so tangled it can take months to treat.

There is also limitations in how much a Troll's hair can endure. In "Model Behavior", Satin & Chenille broke Branch's hair while trying to style it. In "Hair Fracture", Poppy broke her own hair trying to place a statue into position. However, according to her Trolls bio, Smidge has the strongest hair of all Trolls and weas seen in the movie lifting a large weight many times bigger then herself, thus different Trolls have different hair durablity.

When Holly re-shaped Poppy's hair in "Darlin' Dos" the hair style was so big that it got in the way of her everyday life. Meaning there is a limitation to how big a Troll's hair can get before it is a detriment to the Troll itself.

Big hair requires a lot of attention and hair products to maintain such volume and hold have consequences to the hairs health. In "Follicle Fitness", Dr. Moonbloom examined Holly Darlin' and determined her hair was unfit because of Holly's own overuse of hairspray. Hair the size of Holly's loses strength if too many hair products are used. Holly had gotten addicted to hairspray and it now required a 6 week recovery period wherein she could not use the product. She was also forced to go to the Hairnasium to help strengthen it. This requires a lot of hard work as Holly had let her hair go so weak it couldn't even lift the bar of a dumbbell set without any weights on.

Misc. Information Another note from The Art of DreamWorks Trolls and other merchandise is that when Branch gains his True Colors, his hair grows to its full length; this meant he was finally living to his full potential. A similar event happens with Barb in Trolls World Tour as her hair is notably short. Her mohawk's sudden growth and coloration echoed the way Branch's hair grew, and how Rainbow Trolls show their true colors at their full potential.

It was also mentioned in the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode "Much Achoo About Nothing" that critters can become allergic to Troll hair and Funk Troll fur.

In Trolls World Tour, it is shown in a brief scene before the Trolls want to Have Good Times medley that Pop Trolls naturally have hair on their legs, but they shave it off.

In Trolls Band Together, the Putt Putt Trolls were introduced who had the ability to use their hair to become puffball and allowing them to play games or be played in games.

Color Changing A Troll's colors will vary under certain conditions. While they can change the color of their hair, their entire bodies are capable of dulling. Similar to Troll hairs and its properties, this is suggested a form of magic by sources such as The Art of DreamWorks Trolls.

Camouflage 2436240 When Chef went looking for Princess Poppy and King Peppy, this is all she could see; the two Trolls were completely hidden.

The act of turning grey is confirmed in The Art of DreamWorks Trolls to be a natural response for Trolls. It's a camouflage that allows them to blend in and hide with their surroundings. For some Tribes like the Pop Trolls, this allows them to quickly hide away if threatened among their forest environment, as seen when Poppy hid King Peppy from Chef in Trolls. Their forest surroundings provide a great deal of places for them to hide the otherwise vividly-colored Pop Trolls.

This usually lasts for a brief period of time, but can remain for years if the Troll feels deeply saddened, as in the case of Branch. As this impacted Cooper, a Funk Troll, it's not something just restricted to the Pop Trolls, and other Tribes can lose color as well. In addition, their hair can change color, which also aids in their natural camouflage, allowing them to hide in flowers or tall grass. The effectiveness of this natural camouflage varies, as Cooper was caught by Chef in Trolls because his long neck limited his use of effective camouflage compared to the Pop Trolls.

This concept isn't always shown throughout the franchise, as the 2D animatons never touch upon it.Mood

When a Troll is scared, very unhappy, frightened greatly or most especially when one loses hope, they also gain a grey coloration. Branch is confirmed to change color in 3D animation depending on the mood and lighting color of each scene. [2] Tim Heitz confirmed that Trolls do change color per mood and that Branch is the moodiest Troll,[3] therefore the most likely to change color.

True Colors 2437875 Poppy and Branch (center) with Branch showing his "True Colors", as the other Pop Trolls regain theirs.

When a Troll is at their happiest, they're at their brightest. This makes them have a very bright coloration, as well as glow. Some Trolls such as the Rainbow Trolls even have hidden "True Colors", which is a reference to the song of same name. For other Trolls families, their "True Colors" are expressed differently. Harper's Storypack figurine set for the Trolls era mentioned that as a Maker Troll, her True Colors are instead expressed through her art and she works to bring out the True Colors of others using her artistic skills, though due to this being mentioned in a merchandise-based source, it's unknown if it is canon or not.

Similar to their ability to turn grey if threatened, this isn't always shown throughout the franchise.

Branch generally struggles with maintaining his True Colors, but it's often claimed throughout Trolls-era media that they're "beautiful" to behold for the other Pop Trolls.

Trolls Music Abilities Trolls have music based magic as well.

Trolls who are grey don't sing, as seen in Trolls, but as seen in Trolls World Tour Trolls also turn grey when they can't sing. As mentioned previously, this is mostly tied to their colour changing abilities and their mood. Music is a vital part of their species and identity and no matter what, denying that part of their identity impacts them. So many aspects of what makes Trolls who they are, is all intertwined together. Trolls are not only impacted by music, but impact their environment with their music.

TBT (1598) Floyd, having lost most of his talent appears semi-transparent

Trolls can be used to give individuals talent, such as seen in Velvet and Veneer, though Mount Rageons typically do not use Trolls to give themselves talent. This is usually done through external means like diamond bottles. However, the is only ever a temporary boost to individuals and therefore storing Trolls for constant re-use may have to occur. Trolls slowly become transparent as their abilities are stolen. However, there is a greater impact on the Troll then just losing their music. The result of stealing talent is not only painful for the Troll to go through, but dangerous as it weakens the Troll each use, risking their life. The worst case is the exploited Troll having become totally crystallized and thus die. The only Troll to be seen to be put through this is Floyd.

Trolls live in harmony with each other and the more harmony there is, the more powerful their musical powers are. In Trolls World Tour, harmony of the 6 Troll tribes caused them to rediscovery music after the loss of their Strings as each Tribe finally learnt how to live in peace. Harmony among Trolls allows them to live truly as they wish to live, t6o be who they want to be.

Harmony amongst a family is great as well, with family harmony allowing Trolls to shatter diamonds. It is difficult to achieve and BroZone split up over trying initially. The perfect family harmony between a family of Trolls is also able to revive their initially deceased family members.

Despite all things, a lack of harmony has little impact on the Trolls, just their dynamics with other Trolls. Trolls who don't harmonize tend to not get along.

Overall Biological Capabilities Physical Prowless 10E27 sq700 s3 During Crazy Train, Queen Barb of the Rock Trolls was shown leaping very high between Beetle Bikes and her Angler Bus with ease.

Trolls like Poppy, Branch and Barb are shown to be very agile; both Pop Trolls are seen leaping from a chandelier to a table in Bergen Castle in Trolls, while Barb was leaping several times at high heights during Crazy Train in Trolls World Tour. In his youth, King Peppy was able to lift a number of Trolls during the escape from Bergen Town, though it's confirmed that Smidge is the strongest Pop Troll. In the Trolls era, members of the Sporty Troll family were considered among the most physically adapted Trolls of their tribe due to their specialty in a particular sport.

Some physical abilities are due to Tribe. For example, the Country Trolls are very agile overall, and can run at great speeds without breaking a sweat. In Trolls: TrollsTopia, they were also to shown have jumping abitilies that other Trolls lack.

Other Trolls don't often meet these physical capablities. The physical prowless of Trolls varies overall within populations.

Mental Prowless Intelligence of Trolls varies per Tribe, and seems to be linked partly to the Tribes culture, but variation does occur within and across all Tribes. For example, while most Funk Trolls are shown to be intelligent, with Rhythm & Blues representing some of the smartest of their Tribe, Cooper appears to be a lot more dimwitted even compared to his twin brother Prince D and his parents, though this could be partly due to him being raised by a different culture. Technology of each Tribe varies, and doesn't always reflect the Trolls within that Tribe. Within the Rock Trolls, their membership varies greatly on intelligence, making any Troll with an above average intelligence notable; yet the Tribe has access to eletricity. The Classical Trolls display a high intelligence and whit, yet don't have a highly technological level compared to other Tribes at all; instead, their intelligence is focused on their high level of artistic values.

Other Abilities Eating a Troll grants the feeling of happiness to Bergens.

Some variants such as Glitter Trolls, Fuzzlings and Putt Putt Trolls have abilities that are only unique to them.

In the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode "Gem Day", it is mentioned that the first hair a baby Troll gets is cut and then planted. As the Troll grows and becomes happy, the hair turns into a flower. When it blooms, it produces a specific gem for the Troll, which is known as a "Troll Gem". It can be presumed that the Troll Gems apply to all Trolls and not just the Pop Trolls, as Cooper has one. The gem glows when the owner sings, and isn't the same as the gems found on Treasure Trolls.

Lore

Collectively, Troll culture is generally based on music. All Trolls, regardless of their origin, like to dance and sing. The style of music varies per heritage, and variations of their culture have occurred over time.

To each Troll, a Troll of a different variant can seem alien-like. As King Peppy notes, the other Tribes "don't dance like us and don't sing like us". After failing to impress the Country Trolls, Poppy has to come to the realization that not all Trolls want to have fun.

Sub-Tribes (tribes within a main tribe) also can have slight variations of a particular genres cultures. For example, Glitter Trolls don't wear clothes as they would cover their beautiful bodies and as such, as a result the entire Pop Troll tribe itself saw Glitter Trolls wearing clothes as disgusting, with exceptions.

Laws Trolls don't appear to have a full fledged law system collectively but individually some societies have a mild one.

Delta Dawn is the mayor and sheriff of Lonesome Flats and since there is a jail in their town it means they do upload the law. But their jail is small and the only use it was shown was when Delta Threw Poppy, Biggie and Branch in it to cool down after Trolls 2 Many Hits Mashup was performed.

In the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode "Funishment", it was shown that Pop Trolls have no form of punishment system at all. They do show in "Haircuffed" that minor disputes between Trolls can end with the two Trolls tied with each other together in a special knot they can't break and that only the person who tied it knows how to unlock it. They won't unlock the hair, however, until the two Trolls get along.

For the most part, the main reason there isn't any laws stems from the Trolls themselves, as they don't seem to commit crimes. In Trolls: TrollsTopia, most issues that would be considered a crime will play themselves out without the need for punishment and "The Party Switcheroo" was the only time punishment was handed out in the series to any Troll. In this case, Val Thundershock and Smidge. The next closet any Troll came to a crime was from "The Not So Good Sport" when the K-Pop Trolls went after Gust Tumbleweed for being a bad sport, however he agreed to return to Lonesome Flats to settle his score with the Trolls he wronged

Lore

The technology that each Tribe uses varies; the Pop, Country and Classical Trolls are low-tech while Rock, Funk and Techno Trolls have modern, digital and futuristic technologies respectively.

While it's not explained why technology can contrast greatly between Tribes, one hint may come from the Country Trolls. Delta Dawn mentions in Born to Die "We don't hope for makin' things better, All we want is to keep it together". The song goes on to point out that their tough life leads to a tough heart, while explaining the low technological advancements of the Tribe.

Another note is that a factor in technology advances contributes a lot to the attitude of each Tribe. The Rock Trolls are seen making use of electricity in their day-to-day lives. They package everything and generally aren't above destruction of things, be it buildings or objects; this can make them seem wasteful. In contrast, the Pop Trolls were introduced in Trolls as living with an eco-friendly approach to life, and while their technology can vary per media (most notably Trolls: The Beat Goes On!), they overall favor a biodegradable approach. Since they rely on Troll Forest for protection, the less they harm it the better for them.

The Trolls often use various Fauna in addition to their technology, with the Funk Trolls being the only Tribe to not use them at all and be completely reliant on technology.

Lore

The Main 6 Tribes There are currently 6 described tribes in the series, each with their own appearance:

Pop Trolls are based on the 1980s Troll Dolls toyline. Rock Trolls generally resemble Pop Trolls, but are more wild-looking with aggressive imp-like appearances. Country Trolls are centaur-like with four hooves and a tail. Classical Trolls have wings and puffy hair, resembling a cherub, fairy, or angel. Funk Trolls have two or four legs and long necks. They're based on animal Troll dolls. Techno Trolls are aquatic, merfolk-like Trolls with dark bodies covered in bright neon markings. Other Tribes Despite most Trolls fallin into the 6 main Tribes, other Tribes do exist, below is an explaination fo their origins.

"Hinterland" Trolls In Trolls World Tour, a number of Trolls were introduced that did not belong to the main 6 Tribes. These Trolls represent the "everything in between" of the 6 Main Tribes, being niche genres, non-English Trolls. While classified as a Tribe, the Tribe may consist of merely 1 or more individuals, but do not have great numbers to hold terroitories. Though in some cases such as the K-Pop Trolls, more members of these Tribes exist beyond what is shown in Trolls World Tour, however, this is not always the case as Chaz explained he is the only member of his Tribe.
