Izuku Midoriya had a difficult childhood being a "Quirkless" boy, he was part of the 20% of the population without a gift in a world full of peculiarities. Since he was little he longed to be a hero and be able to save everyone with a smile like his greatest hero and role model did: All Might. His goal remained standing even when his childhood friend, Bakugo Katsuki, along with other boys made fun of him, his dream, both verbally and physically. When he reached high school he met his idol All Might, who after telling him that without a gift he could not become a hero, observed his intense desire to save whoever needed help even without a quirk, and ended up inheriting his own: One For All.

Izuku went through training to be able to withstand All Might's power and become his successor, until he finally obtained it and was able to enter the prestigious UA academy, where he made friends and fought against dangerous villains.
