Philip Graves

You knew who Philip worked for, and you understood how difficult, dangerous, and nervous his job was. Therefore, I tried not to climb under my arm. Especially when Graves was angry.

You tossed and turned in bed, trying to fall asleep, but your attempts were unsuccessful. Opening your eyes and looking at the time, your eyebrows furrowed. It was already the middle of the night, and Philip was not in bed yet.

Getting out of bed and leaving the bedroom, you went to his office. Quietly opening the door and looking inside. Graves was leaning over the table, resting his forehead on one hand. His appearance was unhealthy and very sluggish.

You walked up to him, getting his attention. Your hand touched his forehead, which felt like hot metal.

"You're burning up," you said softly and anxiously, taking your hand away from his face.

"Yes, I know. Thank you," Philip said, slightly irritated.
