T-54
The T-54 (GBTU index - Object 137) is a Soviet medium tank[3]. Adopted by the Soviet Army of the USSR Armed Forces in 1946, it entered serial production from 1947, and was constantly modernized. Since 1958, a modification called the T-55, adapted for combat operations in conditions of the use of nuclear weapons, was produced. Between 1961 and 1967, it was mainly replaced in production and in the tank forces of the USSR by the T-62 tank, created on its chassis, but production of the T-55 at OZTM continued until 1979. A number of countries also produced the T-54 itself, or its modernized or adapted to local conditions variants. Turret Design
The Two Guns are joined in a side by side configuration with the 62.7mm Fusilier II Chaingun which has a longer barrel being on the left, and the 20mm Rh202m Chaingun on the right. The turret is mainly shaped around the mechanism of the two guns allowing for a compact turret as it allows the large optical camera for the gunner as it placed on the left side of the turret to see pretty freely except for the right, and the back of the turret is for a battery and the Iron-Fist Active Protection System. The Turret is mainly centered on being sleek, and light.
Optical and Mechanical Systems
The Gunner and Commander both have Optical Cameras with Night Vision and 3rd Generation Thermal Imaging. The XT2 has a two-plane stabilizer allowing to fire while on the move. The 3rd Generation Fire Control System of the XT2 allows it autoautomatically determine a target's distance, and reduces stress on gunner by alerting the gunner to incoming projectiles as the Iron-Fist Active Protection System would intercept it in two ways. Hard kill is when it uses it's launcher after determining the incoming projectile has not been deterred in 1.4 seconds. Soft Kill Mode is where it deters mainly IR or Laser guided missiles and bombs with a smoke screen breaking lock it will switch to hard kill if soft kill fails.
