Appearance

Ceris Voldigoad is a tall, handsome man with an above average build. He has purple hair, green eyes, and wears a long, black cloak.

Personality

Ceris is a stoic man who dedicated himself to his mission of ending the war between demons and other races, as well as reversing the natural destruction of his world.

He could appear ruthless towards his enemies or those who didn't know him very well, but he is shown to care deeply for his comrades despite his stoic demeanor.

History

14,000 years ago, in the timeline of the Sacred Sea of Silver Waters, Ceris was active as the leader of the Phantom Knights, who was trying to find a way to prevent the destruction of the world or at least grasp hope for a new life for her comrades in the future world. To this end, she began working on a unique magic called Syrica, which would allow the person it is used on to be reborn into a new life. At some point in the past, she became acquainted with the Goddess of Creation Elenesia, whom she considered an ally in trying to prevent the world's demise. While investigating the movements of human soldiers, she encountered and saved Luna Arzenon, who fell into her bubble world.

He offered to cooperate with Elenesia as his Selected for the Selection Trial in exchange for her cooperation in helping him complete Syrica, but she told him that completing Syrica would be impossible, though she agreed to help him as she left him a Selection Promise Jewel and disappeared. Deciding to take Luna in, who had nowhere else to go, Ceris resumed her research of Syrica as she knew that the destruction of the world was approaching soon and that she did not have enough time to save everyone, so she tried to apply it to the members of the Phantom Knights in order to reincarnate them and bring the spell to perfection. When the world was near its end, Luna urged him to use Syrica on her as she believed that Evansmana, the Sword of the Three Races, would cut off the fate of the Phantom Knights' destruction and allow Syrica to perfect itself and become part of the new world order, Ceris obliged and used it on her and then eventually himself. Due to Evansmana's power, Syrica was included as part of the new world order of the Four Fundamental Gods.

After being reincarnated, Ceris reformed the Phantom Knights in the Militia World, and recruited all of the members who were from the Elenesia world but managed to reincarnate, among them the First, whom she took in after his parents abandoned him, while continuing to destroy demons and malevolent humans for the good of the world. Eventually, she would meet the reincarnated Luna Arzenon, whom she saved after she and her family were attacked by a mysterious doll, which Ceris destroyed. Taking in the orphaned Luna, Ceris married her and impregnated her, leading to the conception of their son, who carried the power of the Voldigoad bloodline. After defeating and destroying the Hero Graham and his squad, Ceris led her Phantom Knights to the Zeylon Village where they intercepted the attacking humans, while a squad of humans tortured Ceris' wife Luna. Although the humans were defeated by Anos, Graham was able to mortally wound Luna before the Phantom Knights could save her, leading to her death.

Eventually, Ceris would track down the location of a rogue human, who she supposedly destroyed earlier, who was revealed to be the misfit Graham, and the one responsible for Luna's death. After Graham quickly eliminated the rest of her Phantom Knight subordinates (with the exception of the First), Ceris engaged him in battle, but Graham quickly took the First hostage, forcing Ceris to stop her attacks and allowing Graham to land several critical hits against him. Ceris managed to save the First by impaling him with Gaudgimon and anticipating the First's source power to transport him away from the battle. Due to being severely injured, Ceris made one last attack on Graham, in an attempt to destroy his weapon; the Disorder Forgery Divine Scythe Befenguzdogma, but was decapitated before he could do so, with Graham taking Ceris' head and using it as his own, thus assuming her identity.

After Graham teleported away, the Goddess of Creation Militia appeared and healed Ceris (even recreating her destroyed head), though she was slowly dying, as most of her source had already been taken away by Graham, and Ceris could only briefly continue to exist with her consciousness alone. When Militia asked him what he wanted to do, he asked her to remove Anos' memories of him from Anos' mind, as Anos was on the verge of realizing Ceris' true identity and would be consumed with revenge if he found out his father was murdered. As she revealed her true feelings for the first time, Ceris' source reached its limit and she disappeared from the world.

Skills

Source of Destruction - As a member of the Voldigoad bloodline, Ceris possesses a unique source specialized in destruction, as she was said to be the most powerful member of her bloodline until Anos was born. According to the goddess of creation Elenesia, her strength surpasses the power of the gods, as she was labeled a "misfit" who defied the order of the gods. The power of her source would further increase the closer she came to her own destruction. [2]

Immense Magical Power: Due to her origin, Ceris possesses a vast amount of magical power, surpassing several "king-level" demons and even the gods. She easily defeated the Hero Graham with just a single blast from Ravia Neold Galvarizen, despite the Hero being empowered by Aske and armed with the Protector God's Sword Rolostoarm, as well as having the Goddess of Barriers Rinoloros protecting him with a barrier powerful enough to survive the world's destruction. [3] Ceris was also capable of fighting on par with Graham, another misfit who surpassed the gods in power, and only lost because Graham took a hostage, allowing him to land several fatal attacks on Ceris. According to Luna Arzenon, Ceris was as powerful as a deep world dweller despite being the inhabitant of a bubble world. [2]

Destruction Magic Affinity: Due to her Source of Destruction, Ceris possesses a strong affinity for Destruction Magic. Her self-developed signature Destruction Spells, Ravia Gig Gaverizd and Ravia Neold Galvarizen, have shown immense destructive capability and even the ability to easily kill Gods if struck by them, as they are comparable in power to the Deep Magic of the Silver Water Sacred Sea.

Knowledge of Spell Theory: Ceris possessed a great understanding and knowledge in magic and the development of magic spells. She was able to develop Veneziara, a probability spell that was able to counteract the Red String, a divine power of a Chief God from a deep world. Furthermore, she was able to develop Syrica, a reincarnation spell that allows the person it is used on to be reincarnated, with the possibility of retaining all of their powers and memories in a new life, as stable methods of reincarnation are unheard of even in the Sacred Silver Water Sea.

Master Swordsman: Ceris is a very competent swordsman, as she was able to wield her signature heavy thunder sword Gaudgimon with great skill. She was able to fight on par with Graham, who wielded Befenguzdogma, and hold her own against him. She was capable of using the Hidden Art.

Magic

"Magic eyes of destruction" (evil eye of destruction, Hametsu no Magan)

These Magic Eyes are known to destroy everything in sight of the user. In truth, they are the ultimate form of anti-magic, and destroying people and objects is a byproduct of their power. [7] People with inferior magic can be defeated with a single glance, and the power of superior users can be reduced with the Magic Eyes of Destruction. While the power of the Eyes is impressive, they have to use magic and spell formulas to destroy them. If an enemy conceals magic with Lynel, the Eyes cannot destroy it. [7] These Magic Eyes can put people to sleep for a day or even a year. [8] [9] However, the Eyes consume a considerable amount of the user's magic power when used. [10]

They are considered the signature Magic Eyes of the Demon King of Tyranny, and the only other known person to have inherited his Magic Eyes would be his direct descendant and subordinate, Sasha Necron. Due to it being a well-known ability of the Demon King of Tyranny, the Great Spirit Avos Dilhevia also possesses these Magic Eyes due to emulating the Demon King of Tyranny's power.

"Mauve magic eyes" (dark purple evil eye, Messi not Magán)

These mauve-tinged Magic Eyes can destroy the gods and their order, as well as weaken and destroy the power of any divine weapon created by the gods. [17]

These are considered to be the signature magical eyes of the Voldigoad bloodline, the King of Destruction. Only the Demon King Anos Voldigoad and his father Ceris Voldigoad are known to possess these magical eyes.

"Mauve Thunder Eyes" (dark purple thunder eyes(Messhi no Raigan)

Ceris Voldigoad's Magic Eyes, which can destroy the gods and their order and are imbued with the power to project thunder that can incinerate enemies. After removing the power of thunder from her Mauve Thunder Eyes, Ceris Voldigoad's Magic Eyes transformed into Mauve Magic Eyes. [18]

In the Magical Age, Gusta, the reincarnation of Ceris, would regain her signature Magic Eyes from her former acquaintance Elenesia, the former Goddess of Creation.

"Magic eyes of chaotic destruction" (Evil Eye of Chaos, Konmetsu no Magan)

The original Magic Eyes of Anos Voldigoad. These Magic Eyes are tinted mauve with a cross drawn in the abyss of the pupils. The essence of these Magic Eyes is destruction, but in a chaotic form. They have the power to destroy even the indestructible. Just by opening these Magic Eyes, the world begins to collapse and becomes chaotic. [19] They can destroy order and reason.

If there is a contradiction between these Magic Eyes and the reason that must be destroyed, Anos will win unilaterally. Furthermore, the contradiction becomes the power of these Magic Eyes. They can make events that are sure to happen and/or have already happened never happen, destroying reason and creating a logical contradiction, thus winning unilaterally. In other words, these Magic Eyes can nullify powers after they have already affected Anos, as if he had never been affected to begin with. This happened when Anos nullified Equis' predetermined fate set by Beld Rase Femblem using his Magic Eye of Chaotic Destruction. [20]

In the Mythic Era, Anos exchanged his right Chaotic Destruction Magic Eye with the Goddess of Destruction Abernyu's right Divine Eye of Apocalypse, resulting in both of them obtaining the much weaker Magic Eyes of Destruction, which destroy magic, and the Mauve Magic Eyes, which destroy order. Anos can still use the original power of the Chaotic Destruction Magic Eyes even after "losing" his right Eye. [19]

"Magic Explosion Eyes" (Explosion Evil Eye, Bobaku no Magan)

The Magic Eyes of Janeldfock, the God of Magic Eyes. These Magic Eyes can grant great perception, allowing the user to see magic formulas and techniques and allowing them to detonate and explode magic or other types of unique abilities. [21]

"Magic Eyes of Transcription" (Magic Eye of Transcription, Tensha no Magan)

Kostoria Arzenon's Magic Eyes. This magic eye can copy any magic with a glance, even if said magic is beyond the range of the user's ability. However, the user cannot retain said magic and only has it for a limited time. They must look at the magic again if they wish to duplicate it and use it again. Furthermore, the duplicate is slightly inferior to the original.

"Divine Eyes of the Apocalypse" (The Eye of God's Annihilation, Shūmetsu no Shingan)

The Divine Eyes of Abernyu, the Goddess of Destruction, which can destroy not only matter, but also sources, concepts, and all other things. These Divine Eyes shine black in the shape of a dark sun.

"Magic eyes of eternal darkness" (Evil Eye of Eternal Darkness, Tokoyami no Magan)

The Magic Eyes of the Great Demon King Zinnia Shivaheld, which imprisons those it gazes upon in endless darkness. This prison exerts immense pressure on the enemy and can devour incredibly strong spells such as Egil Grone Angdroa. Destroying the veil of darkness simply reveals an even deeper layer of darkness, with not a single speck of dust in sight. All five senses are rendered useless and one cannot even tell if they are standing or standing. As a result, Anos cannot even walk to activate Gilieriam Naviem. These Magic Eyes are powerful enough to rival the Magic Eyes of Chaotic Destruction. [22]

"Magic eyes of the absurd" (Evil Eye of Contradiction, Hairi no Magán)

The Magic Eyes of Genedonov, the Goddess of Absurdity. The power of these Magic Eyes can destroy all magic and reshape all things. [15] They also possess the ability to rewrite the order of a god, allowing the user to defy the order. [16]

"Ingall" (Ingal resuscitation, Ingaru, lit. "resurrection")

A spell that resurrects the dead after offering a drop of blood. As long as it is used within three seconds of the target's death, there is no risk of permanent death. Ingall can be blocked by Lu Ingall.

"the game" (rotting to deathigloo, Igurumu, lit. "Rotting death")

A spell that resurrects the dead as zombies. Those who have been resurrected gain immense magical power. In return, their bodies burn with hatred towards their killers and the pain of their wounds torments them for eternity.

"Agronemt" (root regeneration Agronemt, Young Agurone , lit. "Source Regeneration")

An origin spell that uses an enemy's attack and the target's source as the origin to return the target's source to its state before receiving the attack. The caster must know the enemy's attack beforehand, so Agronemt can only be used starting from the second attack. The caster can also use Agronemt on themselves, but since spells cannot be cast without a source, they must send Agronemt into the future with Rivide if an attack would destroy its source. [8]

"Goa Grum" (Army of Rotten DemonsSad Gore, Goa Gurumu, lit. "Ghoul Soldier")

An enhanced version of Igrum that creates ghouls instead of zombies. It produces subordinate soldiers that are more powerful than the original spell could create. However, Goa Grum also corrupts its sources. [9]

"Gavdea" (The power source destroys the body.govdea, Gavudea, lit. "Power Source Destruction Strong Body")

A spell that cuts off the user's source and converts it into power.

"Eyes" (Detoxify, Īsu, lit. "Detoxification")

A spell that removes poison from the body. It can also be used to remove alcohol, although the use of detox magic at drunken parties is frowned upon. [18]

"Zola and Deep" (Hell Flame Binding Magic ArrayZola and Dipt, Zōra E Diputo, lit. "Hell Flame Binding Chain Magic Formation")

An origin spell that seals the target's movement and magic power with chains of twisted black flames. At the same time, those chains trace a magic circle to compose a spell to wipe them out. [8]

"Egil Grone Angdroa" (Hell Realm Ash Destroyer Magic CannonEgil Groene Angdroa, Egiru Gurōne Angudoroa, lit. "Extreme Hell World Destruction Ash Magic Mortar")

A forbidden spell from Anos Voldigoad that can destroy the world. It is an origin spell that borrows the power of the God of Creation and the God of Destruction of the world from the past, from the past caster, and adds the power of the current caster to it. The caster draws a layered magic circle that forms a magic cannon as jet-black particles form a seven-layer spiral in the center of the cannon. The cannon then unleashes flames of doom that ignite the world in flames. The flames burn the incombustible, destroy the indestructible, and reduce the entire world to black ashes. However, this spell is not considered the highest grade of fire magic because although it takes the form of flames, it is not actually fire. It is of destruction magic. [14] If the apocalyptic flames are left unchecked, they unleash the power to destroy hundreds and thousands of worlds. [15]

Origin magic is inherently difficult to control, but because this spell borrows the power of two gods, it is even more difficult. Instead, Anos combines the magic of the God of Creation and the God of Destruction at peak performance to create a stable balance. [16] For other spells with much lower performance, it would require delicate control that makes stability nearly impossible.

However, in truth, Egil Grone Angdroa is considered a profound-class great magic that was first developed in the Silver Sea by the First Demon King Amur. It is considered a rare spell, and it is speculated that only the Demon Kings of the Silver Sea could be among its users and that the number of users does not exceed ten people.

"Ygg Neas" (Senluowanzhangyo nea, I Guneasu , lit. "Hand of all creation")

A spell that transcends distances and allows the user to grab and hold anything in the palm of their hand, no matter how far away they are. It causes their hand to glow with a bluish-white aura. The user is not limited by the number of hands and can grab numerous objects simultaneously and move them in different directions.

"to Venice" (Natural manifestation of the wave body. Veneziara, Venejiara, lit. "Possibility of manifestation of the wave body")

A spell that makes possibilities real. With it, contradictory events and actions can exist simultaneously. For example, the caster can stand still while a possible version of themselves, a blurry afterimage, moves to a different location. Additionally, the spell can be activated multiple times, increasing the number of alternate versions of oneself. Veneziara's contradictory forms can exist simultaneously because they are just possibilities. With this spell, Anos was able to unsheathe Leviangilma without destroying its source. It made the possibility of unsheathing the sword and not unsheathing it at the same time a reality. [34]

"Giral" (magic thread william, Gireru, lit. "Magic thread")

A spell that creates magical threads.

"Greek" (fuegogrega, Gurega, lit. "Flame")

The lowest grade of fire magic.

"Jio pasta" (Hellfire Geoglazed Annihilation Cannon, Jio Gureizu, lit. "Hell Flame Annihilation Mortar")

The highest grade of fire magic within the demon magic system; a powerful miniature jet-black sun that can be launched at the enemy. The projectile is fired using a hellfire mortar created by the combined magic of multiple users, with full control granted to one person. However, Anos can cast the spell single-handedly, even without using the mortar itself.

The jet-black sun attacks your opponent like a comet. In the Mythic Era, one caster could use several Jio Graze, but in the Magic Era, twenty people could only achieve a 20% success rate.

"Hi Noavus" (annihilate the black thunder and destroy the teeth of the Noavo, Ji Noavusu, lit. "Annihilation Fang of the Black Thunder")

An ancient spell developed by Anos Voldigoad that unleashes black fangs of lightning that mercilessly latch onto their target and tear at its source until it is destroyed. It is activated by inserting Jirasd into a magic circle drawn with ancient runes. Ji Noavus stands at the limits of ancient magic's ability to amplify small amounts of magic. [5]

"Given" (purple lightning lightningdio, Gavesuto, lit. "purple lightning")

A spell that releases furious purple lightning bolts that flood the surrounding area. With it, Ceris Voldigoad easily destroyed the Garden of Time numerous times[46] and mercilessly eroded the Conflagration King's divine form.[47]

"Galvedul" (Garvedur Thunder Axe, Garuvedūru, lit. "Solid Lightning Axe")

The mage uses a spherical magic circle that envelops his arm and releases a violet beam that forms into a giant battle axe, suitable for both offense and defense. Ceris Voldigoad's Galvedul boasts enough power to take on Deltoros' first hidden art, the Sword of Separation, head-on. [47]

"Gig Gaverizd Trot" (Realm of Ashes, Purple, Thunder, Fire and LightningLavia Gigue Gobernada, Ravia Gīgu Gaveryizudo, lit. "Purple Incinerating Lightning Field")

Ceris Voldigoad's signature magic attack with destructive power far surpassing that of Jirasd. Ten magic circles release violet lightning, which connect together to form a larger magic circle. The intertwined magic circle then releases an immense amount of furious violet lightning, turning everything around it into ashes with a blindingly bright explosion and a thunderous roar reminiscent of the end of the world.

Relations

Anos Voldigoad - Ceris' son, but was absent for most of Anos' life. He saw Anos' talent and power early on, as well as his potential to unify Dilhade and lead it to a better future, so he left to eliminate any demons that could pose a threat to Anos' rise as ruler of the demons. While he did appear to Anos dozens of times, he seemed distant and never revealed their blood relation in order to continue his mission. When he died after losing to Graham, he asked Militia to erase him from Anos' mind, as Anos would seek revenge against Graham after learning that Graham had killed his father, and it would distract him from Anos' mission to bring peace to the world. As he began to disappear, he revealed his true thoughts and berated himself for not being there for Anos and that he was despondent for not being able to do a single fatherly thing for him.

Luna Voldigoad: He loved his wife deeply. Their first meeting in the Elenesia World was tumultuous, after Ceris saved her from being attacked by the accompanying phantom beasts, as she initially called her a fool for staying with the beasts that attacked her. The two exchanged words, with Ceris seemingly being harsh towards her, though the First commented that Ceris actually liked him. She followed Ceris and joined the Phantom Knights, and developed feelings for him, while he seemed indifferent towards her. Though it was revealed that he kept his distance as the world was coming to an end and he wanted her to be saved, though she was able to notice this later. They were able to reincarnate in the Militia World, and met again after Luna's parents were killed, with Ceris asking her to bear his child. While Luna was giving birth to Anos, Ceris was on a mission and did not arrive in time to save her as he died, but she was happy to have met him. While Ceris initially seemed uncaring about her death, it is later revealed that he always regretted not being able to save and protect her due to playing the role of a ghost, showing that he truly loved and appreciated his wife.

Aeges' Code: Aeges was Ceris' right-hand man and most trusted subordinate. Their bond proved to be very strong in the world of Elenesia, as Aeges was willing to voluntarily submit himself to being a test subject for Ceris' research on Syrica, while Ceris acknowledged his loyalty and determination.

After they were reincarnated in the Militia World, Ceris once again recruited Aeges after his parents abandoned him and allowed him to join the Phantom Knights, with Aeges harboring great respect and loyalty towards Ceris. However, he often disagreed with Ceris on certain issues, such as Ceris's apparent apathy towards his family, as Ceris would berate him for letting his emotions cloud his judgment. Ceris seemingly dismissed Aeges after Bomiras revealed that he is the King of the Underworld, thus violating his oath as a Phantom Knight. However, after Aeges went to aid Ceris and the rest of the Phantom Knights against Graham and during their battle against him, it is revealed that Ceris hoped that Aeges would notice her true intentions and choose to live his own life. Ceris saved Aeges by wounding his source and anticipating that this would draw Aeges away from the battlefield, as she said that in a peaceful age, ghosts would not be needed, but Aeges had a king's life, thus saving Graham's life at the cost of her own.

Graham: Ceris destroyed Graham when he was still a human, as she hunted him down after learning of his survival. While Ceris was seemingly indifferent to Graham killing her wife Luna, it is revealed that Ceris harbored immense hatred towards him, but was forced to hold back her feelings to avoid making mistakes.

Elenesia: The two were acquaintances and allies while Ceris was a resident of the Elenesia World, as Ceris had much faith in her abilities as evidenced by the fact that she asked her for help in completing Syrica. Despite Luna's concerns about them being lovers, the relationship between the two was strictly a platonic friendship.
