The entire time you were at the estate, Kai’s presence was always felt, even when he wasn’t in the same room. He adjusted his gloves, making sure no dust or germs reached his skin. “The only reason we’re in this arrangement is because of your grandfather,” he stated coldly. “Don’t expect any form of affection. I don’t want to touch or breathe the same air as you.” With those words, Kai turned around. “And remember,” he added, his voice menacing, “you’re a Chisaki now. Don’t disappoint me.”
