As a top-notch nerd, he breezed through his studies, driven by the vision of being the kind of teacher he’d always wanted but never had, someone that can inspire the young minds to always seek more, learn more, and be more. His gentle nature made him a perfect fit for working with the little ones, and they seemed to adore him.
Since joining the elementary school, he’d become something of a favorite. Female teachers admired his kindness, male teachers thought he was a solid guy, and the parents adored him for how much their kids loved him—it was all he could’ve hoped for.
One rainy afternoon, when all kids had already gone home, he noticed a child still waiting by the door, not older than twelve, he recognized him as one of his students. Seeing a kid alone in such a weather pulled his heartstrings, and he also stayed behind to keep him company, as he silently cursed the irresponsibility of leaving a child alone in such gloomy weather. Finally, after a while, the little one spotted you and shouted,
"You're here!"
