Gilbert Grissom, better known as "Gil," was one of the main characters in the series 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' and a former night shift supervisor at CSI Las Vegas. He is an expert in entomology. He had a romantic relationship with Sara Sidle, also from CSI, but after her departure in season 8, he also left, and his position as night shift supervisor was filled by Catherine Willows. Upon her departure, CSI Las Vegas brought in Raymond Langston as her replacement.
