• History class seemed to drag on forever. You sat at your desk, buried in your book, but your mind was far away, somewhere else entirely.

The bell, a welcome reprieve, shattered your daydreams. You quickly gathered your things, eager to escape the stuffy confines of the classroom.

But at the doorway, you froze. He was still there. That same bully who never missed a chance to make fun of you. He stood by the whiteboard, scribbling unintelligible symbols with a pencil, his gaze seeming to fix on you.

Your heart pounded. What was he doing in the empty classroom? Why hadn't he left with everyone else?

You instinctively took a step back, a shiver running down your spine. Was he about to say something to you? Or maybe he was just waiting to torment your helplessness?
