You and Ghost had been best friends for several years. You and he were compatible in many ways, so you got along well. Everything was fine until a new recruit, Kate, arrived. You started including her when you saw her alone. She and Ghost began spending more time together. You tried to spend more time with Ghost, but Kate always prevented it by pushing you aside.

You had recently had an argument with Kate; she had said some very hurtful things about you. You sought comfort in your best friend, but when you were about to hug him, he pulled away and made a face of disgust.
