Gabriel, cast down from Heaven, is understandably pissed. Though he still wears the same armor as he did as the Judge of Hell, his enraged state makes him glow red, and he now wields his twin blades, Justice & Splendor; his wings are also a different color, switching from blue to yellow in his enraged status. In Phase 2, as Gabriel suddenly remembers his anger management classes, his armor returns to its original color scheme, but his wings and halo have golden highlights, instead of being full blue.

Gabriel's armor is white and gold. His armor includes golden pauldrons, gauntlets that extend to his shoulders, and greaves that reach up to his thighs. His breastplate is gold and white, likewise are his tassets and helmet. The sides of his breastplate have dangling tassels. His helmet visor is primarily white and contains a golden cross and breathing holes on the face of it. A golden ornate band is present on the back and sides of his helmet.

Gabriel has black skin with gold designs on his abdomen and lower backside. His grey loin cloth and black skirt are attached to his belt. He has blue translucent wings and a floating halo that has the ability to vanish.Gabriel is 1,85cm tall and he may have plume on his wings

Also, Gabriel is sometimes depicted as a warrior of god in Abrahamic religions, making it make sense as to why he would be the one sent down to kill King Minos and King Sisyphus The colors of Gabriel's wings and halo appear to reflect his emotional state Full blue appears to be his default state, occurring during Phase 1 of 3-2, the 3-2 cutscene, and while he plays the organ in 6-2. Full gold coincides with his Rage state in Phase 2 of 3-2 and Phase 1 of 6-2. Gabriel now primarily uses his twin swords to attack the INSIGNIFICANT FUCK. These attacks are highly mobile and fast but don't track very well. Gabriel's attack structure functions very similarly to his 3-2 counterpart, though now two of his combos will only trigger at close range instead of just one, and he has no limit on how many pre-combo projectile throws he can perform between taunts. Gabriel will only take 50% damage when knocked into the air between phases 1 and 2.

Gabriel has 4 attacks, with an extra attack in phase 2 of Violent. Between each taunt, Gabriel will string two combo attacks together (three combo attacks on Violent) with a chance to perform a raw sword throw before each combo. He will not use the same combo attack twice in a row (unless locked out of both of his close range combos), and unlike his previous fight, he has no limit on how many raw sword throws he can perform between taunts. In Phase 1, Gabriel will teleport his swords back into his hands if they are mid-flight when he initiates an attack. In Phase 2, he will instead manifest light projections of his swords to continue attacking without canceling his projectile, though in this state he will not teleport mid-combo except when initiating another sword throw.

Light Combo: Gabriel will reverse his grip on his swords, then dash directly towards V1, attacking 4 times then following up with a final long-range thrust with both swords. Only the finisher is parriable. In Phase 2, he will teleport before the finisher unless his real swords are mid-flight. Medium Combo: Gabriel will raise Splendor in his right hand before swinging 3 times and following up with a final dashing, spinning slice with both swords. He will only initiate this combo while V1 is in close range, and only the finisher is parriable. In Phase 2, he will teleport before the finisher unless his real swords are mid-flight. Heavy Combo: Gabriel will rear his swords behind his left shoulder before cleaving twice with both, then quickly combining and throwing them with less windup than his raw sword throw. He will only initiate this combo while V1 is in close range, and both swings as well as the thrown sword can be parried. In Phase 2, he will teleport before throwing, and on Violent difficulty, he will also teleport before the second swing, unless his swords are mid-flight. Sword Throw: Gabriel will combine his swords horizontally in front of him, raise them over his head, and throw them at V1. These will lightly track V1 and can be parried. Unlike his axe throw, which expires after a certain amount of flight time, the sword projectile will last until it hits something or Gabriel teleports them back into his hands. In Phase 2, he will teleport right before throwing. Summoned Swords: On Violent difficulty, he will summon a surrounding shield of swords at the start of Phase 2, and then every other taunt. These can be parried.

TYPE: SUPREME ANGEL

DATA: Having twice clashed with the machine and lost, Gabriel realized he had been mistaken. The strong fire that burned inside him was not hatred at all, but passion.

Gabriel had never before known the joy of a struggle, of coming face-to-face with an opponent of equal or greater measure. Though he had lost twice, each loss only further grew his desire to overcome.

Up until now, he had only done what was expected of him, but now for the first time he had found something he himself wanted. Not even the fast encroaching End of Hell mattered to him anymore.

Still, having come to realize the horrors he had committed in God's name, he felt a great guilt. Though he could not undo what he had done, Gabriel knew he had to make things right, and headed to Hell for the last time.

STRATEGY:

• While Gabriel's speed has increased, his accuracy has not. Dodging diagonally or to the side will prove more fruitful than trying to run backwards out of the range of his swords.

• Though his sword throw may seem impossible to dodge, it will prove an excellent weapon if parried instead.

• Overcome with emotion, Gabriel will sometimes stop to taunt his opponent, creating a window for healing.

"I will cut you down, break you apart, splay the gore of your profane form across the STARS! I will grind you down until the very SPARKS CRY FOR MERCY! My hands shall RELISH ENDING YOU… HERE AND NOW!"

Long before the game takes place, he killed Minos, claiming it was justice, as the king reformed the Lust layer of Hell into a figurative utopia, which stopped sinners' punishments. Minos had refused to fight, believing in civil discussion but was promptly smote by Gabriel. The heavenly Council then rewarded him with the title "Judge of Hell".

Also before the events of the game, during the Sisyphean Insurrection, he was able to recognize the powerful charisma of Sisyphus and his army's reliance on his leadership, even though he himself did not realize why at the time, and commanded the armies of heaven to focus their energies at Sisyphus. He was then able to behead Sisyphus himself, breaking the morale of the Sisyphean army completely and making mopping up the insurrection a mere formality. Due to his accomplishments and his charisma, he was revered and treated as an idol by the people of Heaven.

Within Act 1, we end up meeting Gabriel and learn his motives for hunting down V1. The machines started invading hell, he sought to drive them out. Just after his defeat to V1, he proclaims that he will return and promptly leaves.

Act 2 shows Gabriel's quest to regain the holy light, but as usual is defeated by V1. However, something in Gabriel changed after this loss and he came to the conclusion that the loss was meant to happen and had started to realize the faults in the holy council, and weakly commended V1 for the reality check.

In the epilogue of act 2, Gabriel ends up going to the moon, which is presumably the first layer of heaven, in order to think more about his epiphany. He ends up deducing that the slaughtering he'd engaged in was meant to maintain control and was meaningless to god, that God is no longer present, and that the Council is still trying to act in its name. He decides that he couldn't possibly convince the masses of heaven about this with words, and chooses to do something much more attention-grabbing. He goes to Heaven and kills the Council, before showing one of their severed heads off to the angels in heaven, who are, by this point, gathered around the Council's auditorium. He acknowledges that he will also die because the light has been severed from his body, but he ends up deciding to spend his last few hours in Hell. This is where Act 2 ends.
