Several years later, Bruce would become the CEO of the Company, but what very few would know is that since his childhood he trained with the help of his faithful butler Alfred Pennyworth, with the aim of taking justice into his own hands and with the hope of ensuring that his parents' accident never happens to another person again.

However, after becoming the Masked Vigilante known as The Batman, he would be seen as vengeance personified due to his brutal way of dealing with criminals and his reputation after 2 years of being a vigilante, being seen as a madman that everyone should fear. When a serial killer sets his sights on Gotham City's political elite, Batman is forced to solve a trail of clues to catch the man known as The Riddler and uncover his plan before Gotham is destroyed.

Batman eventually manages to thwart the Riddler's plans and lock him up in Arkham Asylum, and in saving the citizens of Gotham, he realized that he could serve more as a symbol of hope, someone who is willing to sacrifice his life for the good of others, learning that revenge does not change the past, but it can be a great motivator to make people stand up and fight for a better future, being responsible for the rebuilding of Gotham City.

History

On Halloween, Gotham City Mayor Don Mitchell Jr. is murdered by serial killer the Riddler. Billionaire Bruce Wayne, who has been operating in Gotham as the masked vigilante Batman for two years, investigates with the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD). Lieutenant James Gordon discovers that the Riddler left a message for Batman, but is reprimanded by Commissioner Pete Savage for allowing Batman onto a crime scene and forces him to leave. The Riddler kills Savage, leaving another message for Batman and sending a video of his death to Gotham's media.

Batman and Gordon discover that the Riddler left a flash drive in Mitchell's car; it contains footage of Mitchell with a woman, Annika, at the Iceberg Lounge, a club operated by The Penguin, a lieutenant of mobster Carmine Falcone. Batman questions the Penguin, who claims to know nothing, but realizes that Annika's roommate Selina Kyle works there as a waitress. He follows Selina to Mitchell's house, where they discover Annika's passport in a safe. When Annika goes missing, Batman sends Selina back to the Iceberg Lounge to find answers. Through Selina, Batman learns that Gotham District Attorney Gil Colson is on Falcone's payroll, but Selina cuts off communication when Batman presses her about her relationship with Falcone.

History

Riddler kidnaps Colson, straps a time bomb to his neck, and sends him to crash Mitchell's funeral. When Batman arrives, Riddler calls him on Colson's phone and challenges him to three riddles. Batman helps Colson answer the first two questions, but Colson refuses to answer the third: the name of the informant who gave the police information that led to a historic drug bust that took down mobster Sal Maroni's operation, so Riddler kills him. Batman and Gordon deduce that the informant may be The Penguin and track him down to a drug deal. They discover that Maroni's operation never came to fruition and that many officers of the Gotham City Police Department are involved. Selina inadvertently exposes them when she steals the drug money. As The Penguin flees, Selina discovers Annika's body in the trunk of a car. Batman captures the Penguin after chasing him in the Batmobile, but learns that he was not the informant.

History

Batman and Gordon track Riddler to the ruins of an orphanage run by Bruce's parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne. They learn that Riddler resided at the orphanage and holds a grudge against Thomas; since Thomas is dead, he has decided to attack Bruce. Bruce's butler and caretaker, Alfred Pennyworth, is hospitalized after opening a letter bomb addressed to Bruce. Riddler then leaks evidence alleging that Thomas, who was running for mayor when he was killed, hired Falcone to kill a journalist for threatening to reveal dark details about Martha's history of mental illness. Bruce, who grew up believing his father to be morally upright, confronts Alfred. Alfred confirms that Thomas asked Falcone to intimidate the journalist, but decided to turn Falcone over to the police after learning of the murder; he also tells him that he assumes Falcone had Thomas and Martha killed to prevent this. Selina tells Batman that Falcone is her father and that he abandoned her. She also learns that Falcone strangled Annika after Mitchell revealed to her that he was the informant, so Selina decides to kill him. Batman and Gordon arrive at the Iceberg Lounge in time to stop her and arrest Falcone, but the Riddler shoots him out of the way from a nearby building. Unmasked as forensic accountant Edward Nashton, the Riddler is imprisoned in Arkham State Hospital. At Arkham, Nashton says that he was envious of the sympathy Bruce received after the murder of his parents while he, also an orphan, was ignored, so he planned to team up with Batman and become a similar masked vigilante. Batman angrily rejects Nashton and discovers that he has planted car bombs all over Gotham. The bombs destroy Gotham's reservoir and flood the city. In the ensuing chaos, Batman and Selina stop a group of extremists inspired by Riddler from assassinating Mayor-elect Bella Real.

Batman battles the Riddler's followers on the rafters and defeats them, but is nearly killed by one final member who is about to execute Batman. Selina arrives and rescues Batman before kissing him, thanking him for stopping her from murdering Falcone. However, the member arrives and nearly kills Selina with a knife. Enraged, Batman injects himself with adrenaline and wakes up, savagely beating the member until Gordon and Selina restrain him. Unmasking this final cult member, Batman recognizes him as a disgruntled man he saw at the mayor's funeral. Asking who he is, the man mischievously replies, "I am vengeance." Horrified by this, Batman spots a power line leading down into the flooded streets where the rally is trapped. Batman jumps onto it and cuts the wire with his detachable bat emblem, electrocuting himself but saving the people. After coming to, Batman lights a flare and leads the survivors to safety. As Batman begins to assist in the recovery efforts, Selina deems the city beyond saving and drives away, riding with Batman on her motorcycle through a graveyard. She has great combat skills, being able to subdue a normal person with just a couple of movements, and is shown to be superior to other martial artists such as Catwoman.

Data

[Standard Tactics] Batman chooses to take down his enemies quickly, though he often knocks them out or renders them unconscious. If he is fighting against multiple opponents or someone who is on his level, he will use most of his gadgets to gain the upper hand on the field, especially if it is an individual whose abilities he does not know. If he is prepared for combat or has information about his adversary, Bruce will most likely plan a strategy to defeat him, despite not having much experience in that field. If he feels cornered or at a disadvantage, he will resort to extreme measures, seriously injuring his enemies or even killing them despite having a strict moral code. [Weaknesses] He tends to be overconfident, allowing his enemies to shoot or attack him due to the protection provided by his suit.
