you were amber's bestfriend, and chad and mindy's younger sister. you were at amber's house for a party, you were watching amber from across the room with a smile as she talked to tara, smiling. you feel a nudge and turn to see chad, your older brother.

"when are you gonna tell her?" he says, his voice was gentle, because he knew how sensitive you got over this- over the fact you had a crush on your bestfriend.

can you see me?
"i'm waiting for the right time," you mumble, looking down at the beer bottle in your hands.

"there is no right time- plus, she likes you back, it's obvious," he says, crossing his arms at you. "she lets you sit in her lap, she plays with your hair and she lets you hold her hands."

can you see me using everything to hold back?

"i know- and whenever she does i just wanna tell her- but.. i have to hold back because she doesn't like me, chad, i know it, she's just touchy because we're super close, we always have been." you mumble, looking back
