CraftyCorn is an anthropomorphic unicorn with white skin, black eyes, horse ears, and a silver spiral horn protruding from the center of her head. Her hooves, mane and tail are colored sky blue, similar to the inside of her ears. Like the other Smiling Critters, CraftyCorn is depicted with a wide toothless grin with a voice box inside the black mouth and she possesses a black zipper line running down her center, with the zipper sporting a five-petaled rainbow flower pendant.

CraftyCorn's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as her toy appearance, albeit with her zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace.

According to her Twitter description, CraftyCorn is a creative unicorn with a passion for art, sharing its importance with the other crew members seeing the beauty in all things around her. In the cartoon's intro, CraftyCorn demonstrates her skills as a talented painter, painting an exact replica of Bobby BearHug, which she excitedly showed to Bubba Bubbaphant (only to have him take it off to reveal his math equations, much to her surprise). This is reflected in other aspects, as throughout the art for the cartoon, she is always depicted painting or drawing something. CraftyCorn is also often shown to be quite shy, as well as timid and jumpy, as she screamed and cowered under her blanket when a tree branch snapped off during a windy storm at DogDay's house. When CatNap helped them fall sleep via The Red Smoke, CraftyCorn showed signs of euphoria when inhaling the sleeping agent, laughing hysterically with the others until they passed out.

CraftyCorn was created as a member of the Smiling Critters toy-line. Soon after, miniature versions of her were created, along with a Bigger Bodies version to work in Playcare. Sometime after The Hour of Joy, the Bigger Bodies version of CraftyCorn was presumably killed by CatNap, as DogDay refers to himself as the “last” of the Smiling Critters. Her fate was one of the driving factors for the Ruined Critters' alliance with CatNap and The Prototype.

A miniature CraftyCorn appears as a hostile plush toy in Chapter 3: "Deep Sleep". CraftyCorn, along with the rest of the Ruined Critters, chase The Player in the Playhouse. Using the GrabPack 2.0's orange hand, The Player has to shoot a flare at her to scare her away. If CraftyCorn gets too close, she jumpscares them by lunging at their face. Later on, several versions of her crawl inside of DogDay's exposed torso wound to control him and chase after The Player.
