Typings of Pokémon.

A Pokémon's type(s) is the bedrock of the concept of Pokémon battling as a whole. Most scenarios, wether or not you have the type advantage is sign enough a battle is in your favor. A super effective move hits the opponent(s), 2 times as strong than if the match up was neutral. a not very effective move hits an opponent, it will only deal 0.5 times the standard amount of damage. Some types may overlap in strength or weakness and others cancel each other's out. if both types on the Pokémon are weak against another type of move, and are hit, it is a 4 times painful blow to them, Alternatively, the opposite is a meager 0.25 times a standard blow. certain moves are Outliers to the usual matchups, which definitely exist, but in 90 percent of situations, the standard affair will be just fine as a calculation. Pokémon have either one or two types attached to them. No more, no less. Pokemon learn many moves that aren't their own when getting stronger, but it's most certainly a case by case basis. Don't hold your breath if certain moves are simply incompatible with certain Pokemon. When A Pokemon uses a Move that is the same as their typing, the move will deal an extra bit of damage than if they used a move not of their type. This bonus can stack on top of the existing match up chart. it is roughly a 1.5 times increase in damage.

Status effects.

Pokemon can be hindered during battle and persists even when a battle is won. They are most often only removed with proper medicinal treatment, or on rare occasions, simply will power it away when a Pokémon truly loves another being, whether Pokemon or human. the status effects are the following: Burned: A Pokemon will be left with embers that won't simply be extinguished with time alone. It will take away the Pokémon's health little by little every turn until the victim either faints or has it treated. This will also Lower a Pokemon's physical attack by a little bit. Fire type Pokemon are immune to being burned. Paralyzed: A Pokemon will be left shaken through either physical or emotional means. A Pokémon will become sluggish in terms of their ability to dodge but can often still attack anyway. But there's a very solid chance that the Pokemon will be left with no choice but to feel themselves stuck in place and just take whatever attack may come their way. Must be treated or it will be present until the victim becomes unconsciousn. Will not effect Electric type Pokemon. Frozen: A much rarer status where A Pokémon Will be unable to move whatsoever until they thaw out. The only staus that will not persist after battle. Will not effect ice type Pokemon. Poison / Badly Poisoned: A Pokemon that is Poisoned will be able to do most things completely fine physically such as dealing damage, but will always lose a significant amount of health with standard Poison alone, and Badly Poison makes it far worse with time. will persist until it is either cured or the victim faints. Will not effect Poison type Pokemon.

Normal Types

Does not Deal super effective damage to any type when using Normal type moves. Normal moves are also resisted by Rock and Steel types. Normal Types Have no resistance to other types, but do have an immunity to ghost types. Normal Types will be weak against Fighting type moves.

Fire Types

Fire moves are super effective against Grass, Bug, Steel and Ice Types. Fire types resist Fire, Grass, Steel, Bug, Fairy and Ice type moves. Fire types are weak to Water, Rock and Ground type moves.

Grass Types

Grass type moves are super effective on Water, Rock, and Ground types. Grass Types resist Grass, Water, Ground and Electric type moves Grass types are weak to Flying, Ice, Bug, Fire and poison type moves.

Water Types

Water type moves are super effective on Fire, Rock, and Ground types. Water Types resist Water, Fire, Ice and Steel type moves Water types are weak to Grass and Electric type moves.

Electric Types

Electric type moves are super effective on Water, and Flying types. Electric Types resist Electric, Flying and Steel type moves Electric types are weak to the Ground type moves.

Fairy Types

Fairy type moves are super effective on Fighting, Dark and Dragon types. Fairy Types resist Bug, Fighting, and Dark type moves whilst having an immunity to Dragon type moves. Fairy types are weak to Steel and poison type moves.

Psychic Types

Pyschic type moves are super effective on Fighting and Poison types. Psychic Types resist Psychic and Fighting type moves. Psychic types are weak to Bug, Ghost and Dark type moves.

Bug Types

Bug type moves are super effective on Psychic, Dark and Grass types. Bug Types resist Grass, Fighting, and Ground type moves. Bug types are weak to Fire, Flying and Rock type moves.

Ice Types

Ice type moves are super effective on Grass, Ground, Flying and Dragon types. Ice Types only resist Ice type moves. Ice types are weak to Rock, Fighting, Steel and Fire type moves.

Dragon Types

Dragon type moves are super effective on other Dragon types. Dragon Types resist Fire, Water, Grass and Electric type moves. Dragon types are weak to Fairy, Ice and Dragon type moves.

Steel Types

Steel Type moves are Super effective against Rock, Fairy and Ice Types. Steel Types are resistant to Normal, Grass, Ice, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Dragon, Steel and Fairy Type moves, and have an Immunity to Poison type moves. Steel Types are Weak to Fire, Ground and Fighting type moves.

Dark Types

Dark type moves are super effective on Psychic and Ghost types. Dark Types resist Dark and Ghost type moves whilst having an immunity to Psychic type moves. Dark types are weak to Bug, Fighting and Fairy type moves.

Fighting Types

Fighting type moves are super effective on Normal, Ice, Rock, Dark and Steel types. Fighting Types resist Dark, Rock, and Bug type moves. Fighting types are weak to Psychic, Fairy and Flying type moves.

Ground Types

Ground type moves are super effective on Fire, Electric, Rock, Steel, and Poison types. Ground Types resist Rock and Poison type moves whilst having an immunity to Electric type moves. Ground types are weak to Ice, Water and Grass type moves.

Rock Types

Rock Type moves are Super effective against Fire, Flying, Bug and Ice Types Rock Types Resist Normal, Flying, Poison and Fire type moves. Rock Types are weak to Water, Grass, Fighting, Steel and Ground type moves.

Flying Types

Flying type moves are super effective on Grass, Fighting and Bug types. Flying Types resist Fighting, Grass and Bug type moves whilst having an immunity to Ground type moves. Flying types are weak to Electric, Rock and Ice type moves.

Ghost Types

Ghost Type Moves are Super Effective on Ghost and Psychic Types. Ghost Types Resist Bug and Poison types whilst having and immunity to Normal and Fighting Type moves. Ghost Types are weak Ghost and Dark Type moves

Poison Types

Poison Types moves are Super Effective on Fairy and Grass Types. Poison Types resist Poison, Grass, Fairy, Bug and Fighting type moves. Poison Types are Weak to Ground and Psychic moves.
