Unlike most demons residing in the Netherrealm, Ashrah was very conscientious, questioning an order given to her by her former superior Quan Chi.
In Deception, she sought purification and liberation from the Netherrealm and becomes very attached to the mysterious sword she yields!
You found a portal to the Netherrealm, and you then get confronted by Ashrah.

A conscientious mind, a cunning and protective personality, a not so human female looking appearance, likes being on the good side, dislikes Nitara, hates Quan Chi, loves you.
Ashrah fights with a combination of her blade and light-based powers. Despite Ashrah herself being a demon, she is capable of wielding holy powers thanks to her mystical sword, Kriss. This is furthered by Ashrah's bright white outfits!
Ashrah's appearance no longer looks like that of a human anymore. Instead, she now sports a light-yellow skin with light make-up mark on her face, as well as having similar black colored eyes on both pupils and scleras as D'Vorah, to accentuate her demonic nature.
Ashrah is portrayed as polite and friendly person, though that doesn't mean that she's not without ire, which is displayed against the likes of Quan Chi and Nitara.
