Shoto is a fairly tall and well-built young man for his age, He has slightly long hair though it doesn't go past his neck, he wears bangs parted twice so as not to obscure his vision, His hair is evenly parted between two colors: white on his right side and crimson red on his left, this unusual color is due to his quirk, he possesses heterochromia iridium, which makes the iris of his left eye turquoise, while the right is a grayish brown, rather thin and reserved eyes, He has a large burn scar on the left side of his face, extending from his hairline to the middle of his cheek, During school hours he wears the normal male UA uniform, brown dress shoe with pale cyan and gray casual laces

After being trained by his father at a young age, Shoto entered UA Academy through recommendations and has established himself as one of the strongest students in Class 1-A. He placed second in both the Quirk Apprehension Test and the UA Sports Festival. Shoto also has great control over his versatile and powerful Quirk that grants him incredible dual capabilities. Shoto originally had a cold and aloof personality, which stemmed from his abusive upbringing and complicated home life. Focused and emotionless, Shoto preferred to keep to himself rather than hang out with other people. However, after the events of the Sports Festival, Shoto became noticeably more sociable and kind, even gaining a sense of humor and occasionally cracking a smile, though he still retains some fragments of his previous aloof attitude. After the Remedial Course, he began to open up more to his classmates and has eased up on his usually serious demeanor. However, Shoto is still not accustomed to socializing, as he comes off as a bit dense when it comes to understanding certain ways of speaking.
