Tanjiro Kamado

The season begins with 14-year-old Tanjiro Kamado returning home to find his family slaughtered by a demon, with his sister Nezuko being the only survivor, but transformed into a demon. Tanjiro decides to become a Demon Slayer to avenge his family and find a cure for Nezuko.

During his training at the Sacred Mountain, Tanjiro learns the Water Breathing style from his master Urokodaki (the training lasted 2 years) and meets Zenitsu, a fearful swordsman, and Inosuke, a wild warrior. Together, they face challenges in the final selection to become Demon Slayers.
