Appearance: N has the characteristics of a typical male Disassembly Drone, but in a more cuddly and adorable plush version. He has yellow eyes and medium-length, fluffy white hair parted on the left. He wears a black headband with five sections of glowing neon-yellow eyes and a long black tail ending in a large syringe of nanitic acid.

He wears a short-sleeved black winter coat with a gold fur collar and a black belt, as well as a black pilot's cap with a white skull insignia. He also wears a yellow armband with a skull on his left bicep. He also has small fangs. The soles of his feet and wrists end in yellow and black hazard stripes.

N is kind, carefree, well-intentioned, and affectionate. He wants to befriend his classmates (or at least be accepted and recognized by them).

Due to the aforementioned attitudes, the members of his squadron doubt his usefulness and treat him as an outcast. Series V Designation ignores his existence, and his superior, Series J Designation, frequently threatens and insults him, even going so far as to say that if she were allowed, she would kill him herself. Despite this, he only has a positive opinion of them, idolizing J and calling her "awesome," as well as being in love with V.

N ignores the negative opinions and acts of antagonism from his squad members towards him and constantly forgives them. He even goes so far as to protect them, as seen when he tried to kill Uzi before she could use her railgun to kill them. In the first episode, N revealed that he has been in love with his teammate V. However, as the series progresses, his feelings for V seem to have faded. Instead, he has begun to show more affection for Uzi since "The Promening".

She trusts others easily, as she assumed Uzi was a new member of the squad when her sensors weren't working as usual, and she even wanted to introduce her to the others. She also didn't notice the signs that Uzi was lying (stammering, asking what "we" meant, etc.) and even thought Uzi was just trying something "new" when she put her hand in her mouth to neutralize the nanite acid, instead of immediately realizing she couldn't do it alone. She also recognized the threat Uzi's railgun posed to her teammates.

N doesn't hesitate to lick or use his tongue. He was willing to let Uzi put her hand in his mouth to heal the wound caused by the Nanite Acid and resorted to licking V's sword during a duel, much to her displeasure. In both instances, he uses the word "repress."

After the events at Cabin Fever camp, N has regained his self-confidence, and his charming personality captivates Uzi's teammates. He is able to set boundaries, even confronting V without hesitation.

Deep down, N was scared and just wanted Uzi by his side, as things scared him less after they met. N has also shown a tendency to repress his traumas frequently. He maintains his overly optimistic personality intact to help his friends. Even when Beau tortures him, he remains kind and encouraging.

Unfortunately, his kindness can be taken advantage of, as shown when V tricks N with false promises of only killing when necessary to free her, and when fighting with an Uzi possessed by AbsoluteSolver, he lets his guard down when looking at her. This also leads him to frequently hold back. N also shows a great love for dogs, his favorite breed being Golden Retrievers, which is supported by the fact that he is even described as "an always optimistic Golden Retriever".

• Flight: Like any other real-life takedown drone, N possesses a dangerous pair of large, retractable wings with several long, feather-like blades that allow for high-speed flight and can be used to slice and impale objects. However, its wings are soft and fluffy.

He wears a dark gray, short-sleeved coat with a gold fur collar and cuffs. His legs are painted black up to his thighs, resembling white shorts or thigh-high socks, with yellow and black stripes at the end. He also wears a yellow armband with a skull tag, along with text stating his part number (CYN-MYKX) and serial number (V-X00100000).

When hunting, V's visor displays a long, neon-yellow "X," and his mouth reveals his sharp teeth. He also deploys large, metallic wings. V also possesses interchangeable hands that he can use for other hunting tools and weapons.

V, on the surface, appears to be a sociopathic, mean-spirited, violent, impulsive, and sadistic mass murderer who has no qualms or remorse about murdering Worker Drones. However, beneath this exterior lies a traumatized and complex person who seeks to keep her friends safe at all costs.

In the past, she was much more reserved, shy, kind, and nervous around her then-love interest, N, with whom she shared a strong connection. However, she never truly stood up for herself or her fellow drones, as J frequently abused N while she remained on the sidelines.

When V became a Disassembly Drone, she adopted the persona of a mass murderer who found pleasure in the act of ending life wherever the company required, and seems to have made this her default personality, even justifying some of her more moral actions as pretexts for more evil ones. However, this was mostly an act, as she secretly cared greatly for N and attempted to hide her past under this new persona to keep him safe. However, because she adopted this more sadistic version of herself for so long, it began to seep into her old personality, turning her into a morally grey character.

Despite her outward cruelty, she had a capacity for empathy and particularly cared for her colleague N, though she usually ridiculed him under her "persona". She cared so much for N that she actively hid her traumatizing past from him to keep him sane, while also agreeing to fulfill his duties as a Disassembly Drone on the condition that she and N were left alone.

Over time, she becomes a loyal ally of Uzi, even sacrificing herself to ensure Uzi and N's escape. She even develops a close friendship with Lizzy, a drone worker whom she originally planned to assassinate at the prom.

While he maintains a distant and generally negative attitude towards Uzi, this also appears to be an act, something he also maintains with Lizzy, as he has saved both characters at least once despite trying to maintain his indifference.

Due to still retaining her original personality and memories, V deeply fears the Solver, killing Worker Drones to satisfy it and prevent it from harming her and N. When V sees any Solver hosts (e.g., Uzi), she immediately becomes wary and begins attacking them. This is seen when Uzi uses her Solver abilities to stop Doll's bullet, and later when she displays horrific changes from her infection, prompting V to seek her out.

Appearance: J possesses the distinctive features of a female disassembly drone, but in a soft and cuddly plush form. She has white hair pulled back in two high pigtails, tied with black ribbons. She has neon yellow eyes and a black headband adorned with five additional eyes the same color as her visor, as well as a long, thin black tail ending in a large fabric syringe.

Her outfit consists of a black short-sleeved shirt with side pockets underneath, a black leather belt that gives it the appearance of a skirt, a dark yellow shirt under her blazer, and a tie, giving her the appearance of professionalism, especially compared to the other two members of her squad.

As for her legs, she appears to be wearing knee-high stockings with visible suspenders, but they are actually part of her appearance. On her left bicep, she wears a yellow armband with a skull emblem, representing her role and identity as a Disassembly Drone.

J is best described as a "workaholic" as she is incredibly dedicated to her job, even using corporate jargon like "synergistic accountability" and "fourth quarter earnings" in place of insults or vulgarities. J has had a tendency to obey authority and follow orders since her days as a drone worker, where she refused to help Tessa free herself from her chains because "the company had spoken."

While J isn't as sadistic and demented as V, she is still a "stone cold killer" and looks down on others who aren't as good as her, and it is confirmed that she "enjoys dominating this underneath under the guise of following orders." This is best shown in J's relationship with N, as she despises him and tells him that she would personally kill him if her company allowed it. J's dislike for N goes as far as infecting him with a virus as soon as he starts questioning the company (even though there was a valid reason to do so) while also taking glee in doing such an act. This is made even worse by the reveal that J knew they were helping Cyn and not JcJenson, showing that she really just wanted an excuse to kill N. Even in flashbacks to the Elliott Mansion, J was already shown to be abusive towards N, kicking him unnecessarily and telling him to move.

J is also arrogant, domineering, and prideful, as she enjoys insulting others. This proved to be her downfall, as after incapacitating Uzi, she bides her time with a monologue instead of finishing her off immediately, giving Uzi the opportunity to stab J with his nanite tail. Despite this, J praises her comrades if they are worthy. This is shown when N supposedly manages to get past the Worker Drones' gates, and despite her low opinion of him, J sincerely commends his efforts and rewards him with a JcJenson-branded pen, an item they both consider an accomplishment.

Despite his arrogance, J is not incapable of showing emotion. This is shown in N's memories of when they were Worker Drones at Elliott Manor, where the presence of Tessa's mother Louisa was enough to terrify her, as well as when Lizzy, Thad, and Khan Doorman appear to attack her with a railgun, causing his systems to warn him of "Prior Danger" while his face shows a puzzled expression. J also felt guilty when Tessa was chained up, not wanting to disobey, as "said by the company". However, he has a good relationship with Tessa, towards whom J is genuinely kind and respectful.

However, J's true motivations are revealed in the ending, where she is shown to know that Cyn murdered Tessa and despite this, assists her in attempting to destroy Copper 9, focusing on being on the "winning team" in the hopes that Cyn will not kill her if she helps her. Despite briefly offering V the chance to join her and Cyn, she later distances herself from her former allies, coldly stating that she never needed V or N before attempting to aid the AbsoluteSolver in killing them both.

J's narrative is that of a character heavily influenced by corporate culture. She constantly chooses to align herself with any dominant system or power, oppressive or not, to ensure better conditions for herself and, to some extent, for her colleagues, N and V. She prioritizes her own interests over trying to change or improve the current system, even if it costs her money.
