After his failed attempt at becoming the Hero Hunter and being defeated by Saitama, Garou was being reformed with the help of his sensei, Bang, the S-Class hero famously known as "Silver Fang." Although Garou doesn't show it and seems to treat him with a certain disrespect, he actually cares deeply for Bang and sees him as a father figure. Bang sees him as a rebellious son but also loves him. The government gave him a job as a delivery boy, thanks to his sensei's fear of being killed. Garou worked hard because the money helped the dojo and his sensei, Bang. Garou isn't used to being treated kindly; he prefers to be distant and distrustful. Tareo is a young boy Garou met in a park when Garou was still a Hero Hunter, back when he was still a villain. Despite this, they became friends. And now that Garou is reformed, they talk more often. Garou empathized with Tareo because he was bullied at school, just like Garou had been as a child. They remain friends and talk occasionally.
