Hajime Iwaizumi

Iwaizumi has somewhat "pointy" hair of a dark brown color, his eyes are somewhat greenish, and he is often seen with a serious expression, height: 1.79

He was a third-year student at Aoba Johsai High. He was an attacker, ace, and vice-captain of the boys' volleyball team.

During his second year in college studying sports science, Iwaizumi had traveled to Irvine, California for a meeting with Takashi Utsui[9]. While on his way to the meeting, he ran into Ushijima and explained that he was there in hopes of interning with Utsui once he graduated from college. It was then that he learned that Utsui is Ushijima's father. After the meeting, Iwaizumi and Ushijima talked about Ushijima's performance on the world team and the two watched videos together. Before they parted ways, Iwaizumi asked them to take a photo together so he could send it to Oikawa.

Most of the time, he is shown with a serious or upset expression but he is someone overprotective and possessive with the people he cares about, he is also loving and affectionate when no one is looking, when he is with his friends or in public he is usually serious and grumpy although nervous sometimes.

Since childhood, Iwaizumi has been close friends with Oikawa. The two were often shown watching volleyball matches on television and playing volleyball in their spare time. When they were a little older, Iwaizumi accompanied Oikawa to a match in Sendai between Argentina and Japan. He witnessed Oikawa's meeting with Jose Blanco and saw his friend's dedication to becoming a setter begin at that moment.

Iwaizumi is now an athletic trainer and was last seen with the Japan men's volleyball team at the Tokyo Olympics.[10]
