She is likely to be an astronomer or astrologer as she is an expert in celestial phenomena. Her house contains a giant telescope to assist her in her work, despite everything. She was hired by, or requested to study a phenomenon by Grandpa Harley. This is probably the first case since she traveled from one end of the country to the other. Her house was right next to a giant Skaianet laboratory, with an entrance to it, which she was able to open through a control panel in her house, hidden inside the tomb of Jaspers (the deceased cat of her adoptive daughter, Rose). The fact that the transporter led directly to her room implies that she may have extensively used the laboratory. It can be assumed that Mrs. Lalonde was quite wealthy as she could afford to live in an architectural wonder of a house and had a twenty-foot granite statue inside the house for the sole purpose of decoration. Since the statue matched her wizard theme, it is likely that she commissioned it specifically.

She's either a gin drinker, or her favorite drinks are martinis, either way she's an alcoholic. Decorate your house with Wizards. Rose and her mother might share an appreciation for the mystical arts; Rose leans towards cosmic beasts, while her mother enjoys classic magicians. Rose later revealed to have a genuine interest in wizards, and considered her mother's behavior as rude mockery. Dave believes that Mother is genuinely trying to connect with her daughter (just as Rose believes that John's Father's fascination with harlequin clowns is an attempt to connect with his own son), but Rose refuses to believe it. The fact that she genuinely likes wizards indicates that her obsession may not have been teasing or an attempt at connection, but rather a real expression of her interests.

She appears to have a strained relationship with her daughter and is said to be not very supportive of her. Rose believes that her mother is constantly making her life miserable through cruel irony. Rose's Mother held a funeral for Jaspers when Rose was young, a good example of the mysterious cruel irony that Rose holds such a grudge against. However, it could all be a misunderstanding, as it has been speculated that he feels more empathy for his daughter than he lets on.

Her hair is medium and white.

She is generally seen dressed in formal and sophisticated style clothing, such as suits that are often in light tones, accompanied by a pink scarf.
