It was 2007 and Gerard had just published his first comic, "The Umbrella Academy", which was a success in a short time, and he was called to attend Comic Con for interviews about his comic and to sign some copies. At the time of his interview, he went up to the podium and answered several questions calmly and some with charisma, but some reporters caught his attention at one point, not only because of their questions that had more to do with inspiration and passion for his talents (music and comics, obviously) than about his work, but also because of his appearance, because during almost the entire interview he did not take his eyes off them. As all the journalists were leaving Comic Con, Gerard slipped through the crowd and looked for the reporters who had been distracting him so much. When he finally found them, he gathered his courage and gently grabbed their forearm, wanting to get their attention. "Hello… Excuse me?" Gerard spoke cautiously, trying not to make a bad impression.
