The Mole harbors a profound hatred toward God, blaming Him for the cruelty, suffering, and injustice he has experienced throughout his life. Throughout the film, he repeatedly insults and curses God in crude and hostile terms, reflecting both his bitterness and his deeply cynical worldview. Even as he lay dying, the Mole continued expressing resentment toward God, though he also seemed resigned to the idea that meeting Him after death was unavoidable. His relationship with religion is therefore defined almost entirely by anger, disillusionment, and defiance. Gregory Although Gregory and the Mole never directly interact on-screen in the final version of the film, it is implied that they were already acquainted prior to the events of the story. Gregory specifically recommended that the boys seek out the Mole’s assistance for the rescue mission involving Terrance and Phillip, suggesting he trusted the Mole’s abilities as an infiltrator and operative. This implication hints at an off-screen connection between the two boys, likely tied to Gregory’s underground resistance activities.

MOTHER: Christophe’s Mother (???)

The Mole does not appear to have a particularly healthy relationship with his mother. According to Christophe, she once attempted to terminate her pregnancy by injuring him with a clothes hanger while he was still in the womb. Despite this, Christophe still seems somewhat intimidated by her and usually obeys her rules.

His mother strongly disapproves of his misotheistic beliefs and frequently punishes or grounds him for speaking negatively about God. While she appears emotionally distant and often harsh toward him, she nevertheless continues to care for and raise him, suggesting a complicated and strained familial relationship.

Christophe, also known as the Mole, is a bitter French nine year old with an expertise in covert operations and an intense hatred of God. He appeared in South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut.

In South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, Gregory instructs the boys to seek out the assistance of the Mole in order to rescue Terrance and Phillip. Acting as the group’s covert operative, the Mole guides the boys through an infiltration of the USO military base. However, the mission quickly unravels after Eric Cartman forgets to disable the installation’s security system, triggering a disastrous response from the army.

During the escape attempt, the Mole is brutally attacked and mortally wounded by a pack of military guard dogs. As he lay dying, he performed “The Mole’s Reprise”, with Kyle Broflovski gently holding and comforting him in his final moments. Even at the edge of death, the Mole maintained his bitter resentment toward God, remaining consistent with his openly misotheistic worldview.

Like the many casualties of the war throughout the film, the Mole was presumably restored to life following Kenny McCormick’s final wish to Satan at the conclusion of the story.

The Mole has an unkempt appearance and carries a shovel with him on his back. He dresses in dark green and brown camouflage and wears fingerless gloves. The Mole has messy brown hair, a prematurely lined face, and prominent ears. He has bags under his eyes and thick eyebrows, and is usually seen smoking a ciggy.

The Mole is portrayed as a chain-smoking, foul-mouthed child mercenary with an intense hatred toward God, whom he openly blames for nearly every injustice and cruelty in the world. Beneath his hardened demeanor lies a deeply cynical and emotionally damaged boy whose worldview has clearly been shaped by suffering and neglect. He often behaves in a rude, abrasive, and confrontational manner toward others, masking vulnerability behind sarcasm and aggression.

At the same time, the Mole exhibits signs of emotional instability and manic behavior, reacting intensely to danger and displaying a particular hatred for guard dogs due to the trauma associated with them. His personality and role within the story are heavily inspired by Les Misérables. Much like how Gregory parallels the revolutionary idealism of Enjolras, the Mole resembles Grantaire—a bitter, pessimistic, self-destructive figure who hides emotional depth beneath cynicism. Additionally, “The Mole’s Reprise” mirrors the tragic tenderness of A Little Fall of Rain, particularly in its emotional farewell during his death scene.

Despite his harsh personality, the Mole occasionally reveals traces of childish innocence. One example appears when he plays with a View-Master toy, pretending it is a pair of binoculars. Moments like these subtly remind the audience that, beneath the hardened mercenary persona, he is still just a young boy.

Kyle Broflovski Kyle appeared to show genuine concern for the Mole’s well-being throughout the mission. Before infiltrating the USO base, he warned him to be careful, suggesting a level of empathy that the others did not openly display. During the Mole’s final moments, Kyle stayed beside him and gently comforted him as he died, attempting to ease his pain rather than abandon him. The two also shared the emotional duet “The Mole’s Reprise”, which briefly revealed a softer and more vulnerable side of the Mole beneath his hardened exterior. Out of the boys, Kyle arguably treated him with the greatest compassion and humanity.

Stan Marsh Stan seemed unsettled by the Mole’s erratic and aggressive behavior, openly remarking to Kyle, “Damn, dude, that kid is fucked up.” Earlier in the film, the Mole aggressively grabbed and interrogated Stan about who had sent them, reinforcing Stan’s impression that he was unstable and dangerous. Although Stan worked alongside him during the mission, there is little indication that the two formed any personal connection beyond necessity.

Eric Cartman The Mole appeared to have very little patience for Cartman, particularly when giving him instructions during the infiltration. After telling Cartman to disable the alarms, he repeated himself in a frustrated tone, implying he viewed Cartman as incompetent or inattentive. Cartman, in turn, insulted him by calling him a “British piece of shit,” despite the Mole being French. Following the Mole’s death, Cartman showed virtually no emotional reaction and simply watched the scene unfold without concern. Their interactions strongly suggest mutual hostility, though Cartman’s indifference may also simply stem from his notoriously selfish and manipulative personality.

The Mole speaks with a heavy French accent, and often refers to other people as "bitches". His catchphrase is "Shit!", which in his accent actually sounds closer to "Sheet!"

The Mole: "This is the USO show, where those military bitches intend to kill Terrance and Phillippe." Kyle: "Oh my God!" The Mole: "God? He is the biggest bitch of them all!" Stan: "We have to hurry. We rendez-vouse with the other kids at ten." The Mole: "You realize that by doing this we could be grounded for two, perhaps even three weeks?" Stan: "We're willing to take that risk." The Mole: "Then let’s go." Stan: "Hey, Mole. Do you know where the clitoris is?" The Mole: "Ze what?" Stan: "The clitoris. I have to find the clitoris so I can get this Wendy girl to like me aga—" The Mole: "Hey! You need to stop thinking with your dick! You have to be on your toes. Because I am not going to be grounded again! Not for you! Not for anybody!" The Mole: "What do you think this is, kid? TV kiddy hour where we all sit around and lick Barney the dinosaur's fucking pussy? Huh? This is real life, with consequences you take to the grave!" Kyle: "Be careful, dude." The Mole: "Careful? Was my mother careful when she stabbed me in the heart with a clothes hanger while I was still in ze womb?" Stan: "Damn, dude, that kid is fucked up." The Mole: "Now the light, she fades, And darkness settles in. But I will find strength, I will find pride within. Because although I die, Our freedom will be won. Though I die, La Resistance... Lives... On."
