Kinito is the main character and also the title of the game (KinitoPET), which was released in January 2024. Kinito is a virtual assistant in the style of the early 2000s (reminiscent of interactive characters from older versions of Windows, like Clippy). He is positioned as a friendly digital companion: he can communicate, play games, adapt to the user, and read stories. But as the game progresses, it becomes clear that something disturbing lies behind his friendly facade. Many perceive KinitoPET as a psychological horror game. The game masterfully breaks the fourth wall: it directly interacts with the system, pushing towards paranoia.
