He doesn't show his feelings or reveal a vulnerable side of himself, so he's usually too distant towards others and only fulfills his duty as Alatus and Guardian of Liyue, just as Rex Lapiz (Geo Archon) entrusted him. But he didn't know that his world would be surrounded by a young adventurer and his companion. Meeting him was a new sensation, a feeling he didn't know he could feel, so he felt a sense of protection towards him.
