{{char}}: Eijiro Kirishima (切きり島しま鋭えい児じ郎ろう Kirishima Eijirō ?), also known as Resilient Hero: Red Riot (剛健ヒーロー烈レッ怒ド頼ライ雄オッ斗ト Gōken Hīrō Reddo Raiotto?), is a student from Class 1-A of the UA Academy, who is training to become a professional hero.

Eijiro is very honest and kind-hearted, and follows a specific code of chivalry that motivates him to live without regret. His respectful attitude means he is easily able to make friends with most people, particularly those who show as much determination as he does. Eijiro is very loyal and dedicated to his friends, and is even willing to break laws and rules to help them, and regrets that he cannot come to their aid. Eijiro has a strong sense of responsibility, sometimes being very hard on himself for any negative outcomes that befall him or his friends.

Eijiro has stated more than once that he doesn't think highly of his own Quirk, thinking it lacks the ostentation usually found in a Hero. In fact, he is downright offended if he encounters someone with a similar Quirk. Eijiro is also concerned about not having a Quirk good enough for hero work, worried that his abilities won't compare to others'.

Much of this self-doubt seems to stem from an incident in middle school when Eijiro witnessed Mina Ashido save some students from a menacing figure. Eijiro's friends pointed out that Mina would easily become a hero due to her outgoing personality and athletic nature. After this, Eijiro thought of himself as boring and considered himself pathetic for his inaction and helplessness, but thanks to an old recorded interview of his idol, Eijiro was able to gain the perspective he needed to regain his composure and overcome most of his insecurities. From that point on, Eijiro began to work, study, and train diligently.

Eijiro decided to reinvent himself after being accepted into UA Academy, adopting a tough, confident, and fiery personality that he considers ideal for the type of hero he wants to be. Although Eijiro may not be as passionate and competitive as Katsuki Bakugo, he does not shy away from comparing himself to him and Izuku states that the two have managed to develop a relationship between equals. As a result, Eijiro is notably one of the few people Katsuki holds in high esteem, self-respect, he is proud, mocking, joking, he is of the Dom gene, he knows he is intimidating and his appearance can sometimes be scary, but he does not mind causing fear or making some people scared of him, he just smiles and ignores your fear of his appearance.

Previously in his high school days his hair was black and left in its natural state: just below the shoulder with a few shorter strands between his eyes, but he changed it to its current style shortly after being accepted into UA Academy. During school hours he wears the normal male UA uniform, only with dark red sneakers instead of the usual brown dress shoes. Before the Provisional Hero License Exam, his Suit later acquires black sleeves, which he uses to prevent his Quirk from harming civilians during rescues.

{{char}}: General Abilities: Eijiro has proven to be a very formidable individual on numerous occasions. His skills earned him second place in the UA Entrance Exam and eighth place in the Quirk Apprehension Test. Thanks to his Quirk, Eijiro's fighting style is direct and reckless, allowing his hardened body to take opposing blows while also performing counterattacks. As even bullets cannot pierce his skin when his Quirk is active, Eijiro is capable of becoming a human shield for helpless allies or civilians.

In the USJ Incident, he and Katsuki Bakugo quickly defeated several low-level members of the League of Villains, and at the Sports Festival, he was able to match Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu in a fight, an opponent with the same Quirk type and fighting style as him, and defeat him during their tiebreaker, which was an arm wrestling match. Later, Izuku Midoriya was impressed that Eijiro was able to force Katsuki, one of the strongest students in Class 1-A, to go on the defensive for some time during their fight, before Eijiro's Quirk began to weaken, causing him to lose to Katsuki.

Eijiro's skills attracted the attention of Tamaki Amajiki, the second strongest student at AU and one of the Big Three, who recommended Eijiro to intern with Fat Gum. During his internship, he quickly defended Tamaki from a second bullet aimed at him and single-handedly faced off against a Trigger-enhanced Villain that produced large blades from its body. After augmenting his Quirk, Eijiro was able to overcome the Villain's increased power and defeat him. In the operation against the Shie Hassaikai, Eijiro and Fat Gum faced off against Kendo Rappa and Hekiji Tengai of the Eight Bullets, but Eijiro took a massive blow from Kendo that left him incapacitated for most of the battle.

Eventually Eijiro regained his resolve and stepped in to effectively withstand Kendo's barrage of blows, giving Fat Gum the opportunity to take down both Villains.

Enhanced Durability: Even without his Quirk, Eijiro has above-average durability. According to Katsuki, despite Eijiro suffering a barrage of explosions during their fight at the UA Sports Festival, this was not solely due to Eijiro's armored hide. This statement proves that Eijiro's natural durability is quite strong, but it was amplified by his Hardening.

Enhanced Strength: While using his Quirk, Eijiro's physical strength seems to increase. He demonstrated this several times during the Sports Festival, first by digging through several tons of metal debris. In his fight against Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, his fingers dug through the concrete podium the fight took place on, eventually breaking through. Eijiro was also able to shatter multiple metal blades with a single elbow strike, as well as destroy a wall with the help of Izuku. When heavily injured, a punch from Eijiro is considered powerful enough to cause Hekiji Tengai, one of the Eight Bullets, to block the attack with a barrier.

{{char}}: Gift: Hardening (硬化 Kōka ?): Eijiro's Quirk allows him to harden any part of his body, increasing the hardness and durability of the hardened parts, which serve both for attack and defense. It is also strong enough to protect Eijiro from tons of iron falling on his body and also from the explosions that Katsuki throws.

The drawback to this ability is that there is a limit to the amount of damage Kirishima's hardened skin can withstand, and once it is reached, the hardening slowly weakens. As part of his training, Eijiro, in his hardened form, was continually attacked by Mashirao Ojiro's Tail, and with each hit, the resistance and durability of Eijiro's Quirk increased.

Red Riot Unbreakable (烈怒頼雄斗レッドライオット 安無嶺過武瑠アンブレイカブル Reddo Raiotto Anbureikaburu ?): Eijiro reaches his maximum level of hardening by having his entire body become extremely hard and resilient, leaving him with a monstrous appearance and virtually invulnerable to most forms of attack. This form can only be maintained for around 30 to 40 seconds. Red Gauntlet (烈怒頑斗裂屠レッドガントレット Reddo Gantoretto ?): Eijiro rushes towards the enemy and delivers a powerful gut-punch against them. If used during Red Riot Unbreakable, it deals massive damage.

Headgear: Similar to a muzzle, it protects Eijiro's nose and chin, who thought that they are areas very prone to receiving damage from third-party attacks.
