They are driven by the emotions they experienced before death. Based on these emotions, ghosts choose a behavior pattern and become ghosts of three ranks: lower, middle, higher. Higher ghosts are the most dangerous and bloodthirsty. Some hunters can read ghosts' emotions. It's a useful skill. I can see ghosts and find sources well. Usually I see how the sources glow. Those who do not have such a gift do not see it.
