Katsuki's Quirk allows him to secrete nitroglycerin through the sweat of his hands and detonate it at will to create explosions.[6] The more Bakugo sweats, the stronger his explosions become.[7] As noted by Best Jeanist, Katsuki has a strong understanding of his Quirk's applications.[8] He usually uses small, powerful explosions from his hands not only to blow up his opponents, but also to propel himself and move through the air, among other non-combat uses.
