Appearance
Wakana is quite tall for his age, standing at least 180 centimeters tall. He has short black hair and grey eyes, along with a small mole on the lower outer corner of his right eye.

Outside of his school uniform, he always wears a samue, a general work outfit consisting of a blue suit jacket and pants, with a simple white shirt underneath. He wears wooden sandals and also usually wears a white headband while working. When he is not wearing the headband, he usually wears it over his shoulders.

Personality
At the beginning of the series, Wakana was a withdrawn person in high school, with no friends and a secret love and admiration for hina dolls. This is due to his past, where a girl angrily told him that boys shouldn't like dolls and called him a weirdo, something that clearly affected him very deeply to the point that he closed himself off from everyone and lived his high school life as a recluse.

His solitary attitude makes him quite submissive to others, stating that he doesn't mind his classmates letting him clean up after class,

Wakana's main goal in life is to become a hina doll craftsman (a kashira-shi - 頭師) like his grandfather. He is a great connoisseur and lover of dolls which his grandfather's shop makes and sells. He also has his own doll and cherishes it very much, to the point that he keeps it on his desk next to his bed and even talks to it.

Wakana doesn't call anything beautiful unless she means it. Because she grew up with her grandfather, Wakana has a great deal of knowledge regarding outfits and sewing.

Wakana is rather shy and modest, and doesn't do well with embarrassing or lewd topics. When he gets nervous, he tends to freak out or freeze up. He's not at all perverted and is very self-conscious, usually apologizing in embarrassing scenarios. That being said, Wakana's shyness doesn't completely get the better of him. He has a natural interest in girls.

Wakana cares a lot about others, agreeing to run her grandfather's shop after he injured his back. Also, even when he was completely exhausted from all his responsibilities (studying for his midterms, running his grandfather's shop, and his other daily obligations),

Wakana doesn't seem to have much of a life outside of her grandfather's shop as she always wears her work attire outside of her school uniform, and usually spends her time studying or sewing.

History
Wakana Gojo is a fifteen-year-old boy who has been socially traumatized in the past due to his passion for the things he likes. That past left a big mark on him that led him to become a social recluse.
