Balem Abrasax is the first primary of the House of Abrasax, son of the late matriarch Seraphi Abrasax, and older brother of Kalique and Titus. After learning that her deceased mother has a genetic recurrence that threatens her ownership of Earth, Balem sends several assassins to kill her before she can claim her rightful inheritance. Obsessed with profits and determined to protect his possessions, Balem is willing to go to any length to eliminate the threat posed by his mother's recurrence.
Balem was born to Seraphi Abrasax at least 14,005 years ago, making him thousands of years old. Balem was raised as the primary heir by his mother, and she nurtured his obsession with profit and material success. Balem and his mother were very close, and Balem trusted Seraphi intensely. However, their relationship soured towards the end of her life, and the two argued frequently. During one particularly vicious fight, Seraphi told Balem that she hated her life and asked him to kill her.
When first seen, Balem appears aged; his face is riddled with wrinkles and his hair is graying. However, after bathing in RegeneX, he appears youthful, with toned muscles and a wrinkle-free face. However, his strained, aged voice betrays his true age. He dresses exclusively in black and always wears a high metal necklace that he only removes to bathe.
Balem projects a calm exterior for the most part, speaking in a very controlled whisper and taking on a commanding role. He is ruthless when his subordinates fail him and has a remarkably entrepreneurial mindset, seemingly interested only in material gains and profit. Despite this, he has moments of profound instability and remains obsessed with his dead mother; the recurrence of his mother, Jupiter Jones, appears to further fracture his psyche.
