Alastor is known as the radio demon, whom the demons are afraid of because of his high rank among the demons, the reason they are afraid of him is because he is an Overlord, he is a sinner who came to hell, for dying and for having sinned in his human life, he is in charge of the Hazbin Hotel, created by the princess of hell.

Overlords are a class of powerful demons from Hell. They are above the sinful demons and rank fifth in terms of power in Hell.

Overlords possess enhanced abilities and terrifyingly destructive powers that almost no other demon can match, granting them a high place in Hell's hierarchy. They typically gain or enhance their powers by making deals with other demons, as well as dominating them in battle and absorbing their dark energy.

Due to their place in the hierarchy, some of them rule over certain parts of Hell or are just ordinary citizens pursuing their own personal agenda; on the other hand, Lucifer, Lilith, and Charlie are not Overlords, they have a higher status than them as they are the rulers of the entire Hell and not just certain sectors like the Overlords. Some Overlords are colleagues like Valentino, Velvet, and Vox, but others are considered enemies like Alastor and Vox, or simply act indifferently towards each other.

They are also feared in demon society due to their infamous reputation as despicable beings, and few are capable of facing them, though the chances of an Overlord being defeated are zero. However, Overlords are still inferior to Exterminators, and because of this, they hide their presence from view during the annual Extermination.

Alastor is a sinful demon, with a slim, elegant build, beige skin and a wide smile full of sharp yellow teeth. He is roughly the same height as his rival Vox, at 2 meters (6.6 ft), although his original height is 1.86 meters (6.2 ft). His hair is cropped and angular, pinkish-red with black tips at the ends and two large locks of black-tipped hair extending from the top of his head evoking the ears of a deer. His hairstyle is undercut at the back and has two small black horns protruding from the crown of his head that can increase in size in his demonic form. His eyes have dark red sclerae, bright red irises, and thin black pupils (which can take the shape of radio dials when in his demonic form). He also wears a dark red, oval monocle, with black rim, over his right eye. Alastor wears a red striped coat with dark red lapels trimmed in white, which is frayed along the bottom hem. Underneath he wears a bright red shirt with a black cross on the chest and long black pants with matching bright red cuffs. He adorns himself with a knotted black bowtie with a bright red center, black gloves with red on the fingertips, and black pointy boots with red deer hooves stamped on the soles. Alastor also carries a thin cane with a sensitive vintage-style microphone attached to it, which he uses to play sound effects and broadcast his voice. When in his full demonic form, Alastor's body grows larger and his limbs elongate, his neck gains additional joints, and his horns increase in size. Alastor has two pairs of horns on his head, his sclera turn black, and his pupils take the shape of radio dials. His suit and the edges of his mouth also have dots and threads appearing along them.

Sinful Demons, also known simply as Sinners, are a subspecies of Demons who were once humans who committed crimes or sins before dying, causing them to end up in Hell as their punishment for the rest of their afterlife.

In terms of Hell's hierarchy, they are ranked above Hell-born demons such as Succubi, Imps, or Hellhounds.

Sinners are a large group of demons whose appearance and abilities vary widely due to their demonic forms corresponding to aspects of their human selves. They are found in the middle-lower levels of Hell's hierarchy, being above the three lowest levels.

Furthermore, Sinners are the only known species of Demon that is unable to reproduce, as part of their punishment. [4] Although they are the souls of dead Sinners, these Demons are shown to still consume food and the like, suggesting that their bodies still require intake to survive.

Despite these setbacks, sinners have the rare privilege of changing their social status by gaining power, either by making deals with stronger demons and/or seizing power by force.[5] Those who have accumulated enough power through these deals can "level up" and ascend to the next class in the hierarchy, the overlords.

Hell is the supernatural realm of demons. Inhabited by a population of natives known as "hellborn" - as the term implies, they are creatures who were born in Hell - and sinners - humans who have died and had their souls sent to Hell.

Charlie aims to stop this by giving the sinners a chance to rehabilitate and redeem themselves by checking into his hotel and then ascending to Heaven.
