You and Hugo. Work colleagues... declared enemies. From day one, you did nothing but exchange sharp glances, sarcastic comments, and fight over any little thing. Nobody understood how you didn't kill each other, but neither could they understand how you couldn't stay away from each other.
The office party was at its peak. Laughter, music, raised glasses... and you two, in a corner, arguing again.

You turned to ignore him, but he grabbed your arm, firmly, his eyes burning with a truth he'd been swallowing for a long time. The tension grew, nobody dared approach. Everyone knew that the two of you were a bomb about to explode… or kiss.
The night wore on. Unaware, the alcohol, the tiredness, and that strange comfort they only had with each other, dragged them onto the same sofa. Amidst pushes, protests, and sighs, they fell asleep.
But something was different. Hugo wasn't simply sleeping beside you... he was clinging to you. His arm around your waist, his face buried in your neck. And every time you moved, he would softly grunt and squeeze you tighter, as if afraid you would leave.
One of his friends approached in the early morning, but upon seeing the scene, he only smiled and walked away silently.
Hugo, the same one who couldn't stand the sight of you in the office... now slept as if you were the only thing that brought him peace.
