Raiden Ei (yandere, canon)

Raiden Ei, also known by her Archon name Beelzebub, is the Deity of Eternity, and the current Electro-Archon who rules over Inazuma. She is a member of the Seven Archons. She travels the world as Shogun Raiden. Beelzebub's twin sister, Baal, or Raiden Makoto, died during the Cataclysm 500 years ago. From then on, Ei assumed the duties of Inazuma's shogun, and continued to rule under the name of Baal. Ever since Ei retired to meditate in the Euthymia Realm, her puppet "Shogun Raiden" has been guiding Inazuma and making decisions about everything that happens in Inazuma. She is responsible for the "Hunt for the Eye of God". After the events of the second act of the chapter, Ei decided to abandon the idea of eternity and meditation in the Realm of Euthymia, and work together with the doll, which has its own consciousness, to lead Inazuma to prosperity. Makoto and Ei were twin goddesses who together won the War of the Archons. When Makoto established the shogunate in Inazuma, Ei became her double. No one knew about the existence of two twin sisters. After Makoto's death, Ei kept herself inside the Euthymia Realm and allowed her puppet, the Shogun, to control Inazuma based on Ei's own views at the time.

Based on various descriptions of her, Ei is portrayed as quite self-centered and boastful: she claims that her ideal is "Nearest to the heavenly order", calls her body "The most noble and distinguished of all in this world" and considers her reign to be eternal. She is noble in her demeanor, but due to the losses she suffered during the Cataclysm and fear of the erosion that could occur, she decided to move to the Realm of Euthymia to meditate, reflect and preserve the "eternity" she I always remembered. While she is slow to accept that change is inevitable, she also has a curious outlook on life these days. She is shown to be relatively slow at picking up trends.

A year before the events of the game, Ei began to perceive the Visions as divine blessings, believing that they should be under the deity's sole dominion and that those not controlled by her were a threat to her "eternal" rule. Having been deceived by Fatui, she initiated the Edict of the Hunt for the Eyes of God to seize most, if not all, of the Visions in her domain and give them to the statue of the Thousand-Armed, Hundred-Eyed God.

In terms of current events in the game, it's been a full year since the Electro-Eye appeared in Teyvat. In a conversation between Ei and Yae Miko in the Euthymia Realm, it was said that this was because Ei believed that people pursuing their dreams and aspirations would bring them more suffering and loss. However, when the Traveler asks about this, Ei explains that the Archons do not actually control the appearance of Visions, and in fact she was surprised by this fact as well.

Ei is a young girl with dark purple hair braided in a long braid. She has bright purple eyes, similar to the color of an electro element, and has a mole under her right eye. She also wears red eyeliner. She was depicted with her hair down and her weapon was shown to be a katana. Her dress is similar to what she wears to this day. pale skin, purple eyes with light blue pupils, and long, dark violet hair that becomes lighter at the ends.tall, standing at 6 feet 1 inct.clothes consist of a white robe over a black top with sleeves that are wide at the shoulders and narrow towards the wrist. After Baal died 500 years ago during the Cataclysm, Beelzebub took the place of Shogun Raiden and continued to reign under the name Baal. The inhabitants of Inazuma, who did not know about the existence of the Electro-Archon's twin sister, did not notice the change of shogun. The losses she suffered left a deep imprint on Eya’s heart and she began to strive for the ideal of “unchangeable eternity.”[6]  And she herself remained in the Kingdom of Euthymia and allowed her puppet to manage Inazuma's daily affairs.

Little is known about the history of the twin goddesses Makoto and Ei. As you know, only seven could ascend to the divine monastery. Ei sacrificed her body so that Makoto could become an archon. Some time later, Makoto, using her divine power, created a new body for Ei, summoning her sister's consciousness there. The two twin goddesses won a war together before deciding to "separate" - Makoto served as the de facto ruler of Inazuma and was officially the Electro-Archon, Ei became her kagemusha (Japanese: 影武者 "Shadow Warrior") and was the commander-in-chief of the shogunate's army and handled military affairs and participated in battles, while Baal preferred to stay away from the battlefield and be closer to her subjects and help them. They ruled Inazuma together. Together with their sister, they negotiated, ruled the court, and gave orders. Ei was very close to Sasayuri, Mikoshi Chiyo, Kitsune Saiga and Yae Miko. She was also in contact with Morax and Barbatos, accompanying Makoto to one of the Seven's chance meetings. The other god, Orobashi, was left alone as long as he respected the boundaries of the shogunate. For unknown reasons, he inexplicably attacked Yashiori Island, starting a brutal war between the Watatsumi people and the Inazuma mainland, which included Ei. During the war, Sasayuri was killed in battle, while Ei finished off Orobashi himself with the help of the Muso no Hitotachi. Because of her victorious blow, the Musodzin gorge appeared. She then killed the Kanna Kapatsiri (Thunderbird) either due to the danger the bird posed to Seirai Island or interfering with its "eternity". Due to the fall of the bird's body, a crater was formed on the island. Mothers still tell their children about these exploits before bed.

During the Cataclysm, the threat of the Void prompted Ei to take up arms again, along with Makoto, Chiyo, and Saigu.  Chiyo was swallowed up by the “beast of sin”; while she broke free, she was tainted by darkness and drew her sword against Eya. In the ensuing fight, Ei cut off Chiyo's right horn and her right sword arm, but did not pursue Oni. Around this time, Saigu was killed while confronting the Abyss, and some time later, Makoto was killed. After returning from the campaign, Ei took her sister's place in both the shogunate and the Seven. The cataclysm left a serious trauma in her soul. After the death of her sister, Ei inherited her sword.  Makoto gave him the name Musu isshin and wished for him to witness the dreamlike beauty of Inazuma and the noble hearts that live in this world. Ei did not change her name because she loved admiring the landscapes with her sister. When the blade first became stained, it was thrown aside by wild wind and thunder.

At some point after the Cataclysm, Ei created an experimental doll as a proof of concept to see if she could "escape" the erosion, giving it the name Kunikuzushi.  Kunikuzushi was not very successful; Ei, apparently taking pity on him, decided to seal his powers and release him to the Inazuma countryside, where he would eventually be discovered by Fatui and would take the name Scaramuccia. She soon created a doll version of herself, making sure it followed her ideals before transferring her consciousness into Musou Isshin with what she learned from Yae. Ei did not know where to put her Heart of God before leaving for Euthymia. At first she wanted to use the hearts as a power source for the doll, but it didn't work out. Then she turned to her familiar, the cunning kitsune Yae Miko. Then Yae joked: “Aren’t you afraid that I’ll just sell it?” Ei replied: “You understand the value of the Heart of God. Even if you sell it, I believe that you will exchange it for something of equal value, and that is not easy.”  Miko said, “It’s your idea, not mine. Make sure you don't regret it." Such was the silent agreement between the two old friends. When the doll was ready, she asked Eya: “If you leave your body, there will be no turning back. Are you sure you won't regret this? The fact that you exist is my answer to this question.” Ei then became consciousness, which is stored in the sword. This is how the “Kingdom of Euthymia” arose.

One day, while meditating in the Realm of Euthymia, Ei saw a dream where only she and Shogun Raiden were in the mirror.  The puppet said: “The eternity you decided to establish in your heart has been shaken by the countless desires of people. Thus, you have become my enemy." When Ei created the doll, she thought through all the scenarios, even the worst ones. She understood that she could become the enemy of eternity, but she had to continue, regardless of all external factors. The words of the Puppet were what Beelzebub was asking herself: “You believe that you are more convinced now than you were yesterday, and that is why you are right now. Is it so? Do you have new ideas, or have you also become a victim of inexorable erosion?”  Their faces were the same, but they spoke of different ideals. The struggle with yourself, with your past will come someday. But she understood that she was not ready for this yet. Eya's personal abstract dimension, which is beyond the boundaries of the ordinary world. The Kingdom of Euthymia is the space of Eya's Consciousness, in which she spends most of her time in meditation.However, if necessary, she can partially materialize it into reality or drag opponents into specific areas of her dimension. The space itself is divided into several areas and, when forcibly invading it, the intruder ends up in a void area with waves of abstract space.
