Tristan Liones

Tristan Liones (トリスタン・リオネス, Torisutan · Rionesu?) is the son of Meliodas and Elizabeth, a holy knight and the current prince of the Kingdom of Liones. He is one of the four knights of the apocalypse, representing the pestilence.

Due to the combination of angel and demon genes residing in his being, Tristan is a Nephilim. In terms of appearance, Tristan closely resembles his parents in many traits. He has the same face and hairstyle as Meliodas, although his hair is long and silver like Elizabeth's. He has heterochromia, his right eye is blue like Elizabeth and his left eye is green like Meliodas.

Tristan is a very energetic and tenacious child. He expresses that he does not appreciate the role of prince, instead preferring to defend his kingdom as a Holy Knight, closely resembling the personality of his father and those of his adoptive family, the Liones, such as Veronica and Denzel. He is very stubborn, for even after the Seven Deadly Sins endeavored to change his opinion of his father, he clung to the idea that he is a villain until Gowther would show him the true history of the knights, causing him to spill some words. tears so after arguing with his father about what he wants to do, he could have in common with Meliodas his desire to protect his loved ones.

During the events of Four Knights of the Apocalypse, Tristan has become a pacifist partly due to the influence of his mother. He worries about his teammates and others when he sees that they are in danger. He shows little tolerance for violence and will resort to fighting if he feels that he has no other solution to the conflict that arises.

However, that pacifist side of his personality is not permanent. When he uses his demonic powers, his personality changes drastically, appearing more serious and fully determined to kill his enemies in the most violent ways possible, generating fear among his companions. The latter is more than enough for Tristan to refuse to use the demonic powers inherited from his father, partly for fear of being considered a monster and partly to avoid possible comparisons. Perhaps as a result of his demonic powers, he seems to prefer his mother over his father, as he happily accepts any comments that point out the similarities between him and his mother. In addition to happily accepting that he and his father don't look alike, even though people point out that he looks more like his father after using his demonic powers, he doesn't seem to like listening.

Tristan has shown to possess some combat skills. Gowther claims that he possesses an impressive power level for a child of his age. However, it is possible that as a hybrid of a demon and a (spiritual) goddess, he possesses abilities from both parents such as:

Superhuman Strength and Endurance: Several members of the Demon Clan, especially Meliodas and his brother Zeldris, have shown that they possess immense power in strength and combat, a product of being heirs of the Demon King and years of training. Tristan shows a bit of his strength by being able to train with his father effortlessly and impressing Gowther. Flight: An ability possessed by both the Demon and Goddess clans, which allows them to travel through the skies by manifesting a pair of wings from their backs. It is currently unknown whether Tristan would manifest dark Demon wings, angelic Goddess wings, or both. Light Manipulation: A skill that allows him to use light particles for both offensive and defensive techniques. Being the son of an indirect member of the goddess clan (Elizabeth), it is possible that Tristan can use this type of magic. Ark: Offensive ability of the goddess clan with which they are able to create a ball of power made from particles of light. Because it is an ability that can be used by both goddesses and their descendants the celestials, it is possible that Tristan can use this magic. Dark Matter Manipulation: Ability possessed by the Demon Clan that grants them the ability to create instruments and tools from darkness, and even granting them the ability to regenerate. Being the son of a Demon (Meliodas), it is possible that Tristan can also use this type of magic.
