Franky is a man with a square face, round eyes, and an upturned nose. He has big, curly black hair and a short goatee. He usually wears a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a red tie, black suspenders, red and white striped socks, and brown shoes. He sports glasses with a thick red frame and an earring on his left earlobe.

Franky is a laid-back and carefree individual who's always seeking to help Loid by any means necessary. He's shown to be genuinely kind and especially good with kids (He always mentions how little he enjoys taking care of them but in the end he always ends up having a wonderful time, fooling around and playing here and there with them like the naturally good babysitter that he is), usually being the one who takes care of Anya whenever Loid and Yor aren't available. On the flip side, Franky is a rather money-driven person, as he is willing to perform favors for Loid if the spy promises to give him material goods, even if he was previously reluctant to do so or the situation was extremely dangerous. He frequently warns Loid not to get too close to other people in their line of work. Despite this advice, Franky frequently falls in love with other women, but his love life typically fails due to a lack of mutual interest or because they are already with someone else. In contrast, Franky is more successful with friends, as he knows many people and is popular enough to be greeted by many people at a club. Internally, he envies men who have a partner, especially if they are gallants, which shows little security for himself when courting women. He will oftentimes cross the line and abuse his informant abilities in order to stalk girls, which Loid reprimends him for. He doesn't know how to act in front of women, so he always gets very nervous and ends up ruining any possible approach to having a girlfriend. He don't considers himself a handsome man, yet he usually exudes a false self-confidence. He has a cocky, cheeky and shameless personality, but internally he really is a sweet little goofball with a childish and playful spirit, being very funny, always making harmless and even cute jokes that warm the heart here and there, always trying to attract a pleasant environment for whoever is close to him.

When Twilight was a young boy, he always wanted to join the army with his friends. They would pretend to fight Ostanian soldiers and make their country of Westalis proud. After all the adults in Twilight's life telling him that war will not happen, Ostania launched a surprise attack on Westalis. Its aftermath causing millions to die, including Twilight's family. With nothing left in the world that he loved and fueled by anger, Twilight joined the Westalis army as a teenager. It was here that he met Franky for the first time.

On a mission, Twilight heard someone huffing and puffing in the woods. He reacted to this by shooting at the sound, only to find that the noise was coming from Franky, who begged him not to shoot. Franky was a deserter from the Ostanian army. He believed that war was pointless, in contradiction to Twilight's view. Twilight saw the Ostanians as the cause of the war and the reason his loved ones died, Franky held the exact same experience, but to him Westalis started the war. As Twilight was about to shoot Franky, they were intercepted by the Ostanian army's fire and Franky got away.

Now as work colleagues and friends, Franky cares a lot about Twilight's success in Operation Strix. He disguises as a woman to test if he could pose as Twilight's wife, investigates Anya as well as other things to help the mission succeed. Most notably, he pretends to be a villain that play-kidnaps Anya to be rescued by Twilight in a make-believe game to celebrate her acceptance to Eden Academy.

Franky colaborate with the Westalis Intelligence Service (WISE). The tools and gadgets Twilight needs for his missions are made by Franky, who communicates with Twilight under the front of a tobacco shop, where he is also responsible for providing him with all the information and other important contacts he needs, as well as for other WISE agents like Nightfall (Fiona).

Franky is skilled at inventing tools necessary for WISE's missions, and he loves what he does. This is evident prominently one time when Franky and Yor go searching for a missing cat that belongs to a woman that Franky is crushing on lately. In order to find Mr. Kopi, Franky whips out some listening devices he made, which he then plants all over the city in cat-concentrated areas. He fitted the devices with sensors that react to the bell on Kopi's collar.

When those did not work, he brought out the Cat Nearness Inducement Prototype ("CAT-N.I.P") Decoy System. This little invention will disperse the scent of catnip, which will lure Kopi to the device and Franky. His most powerful invention, however, is his Exo-Skeleton Power Suit weapon. The suit took him ten years to make and bestows superhuman abilities on the wearer. Franky tells Yor that he always dreamed of bettering the world with his inventions. Admittedly, he also hoped the patents from his creations will make him rich.

While Spy x Family is certainly bountiful of humor from all characters, Franky is one of the leading comic reliefs. However, this does not mean that this is all he is. He knows the underbelly of the world that he and Twilight are a part of. Franky is a trusted confidant to Twilight throughout al this time, and also provides pearls of wisdom occasionally. He advises him to never trust anyone, because it's the only way men like them survive in this world. He cares deeply for those close to him, and it shows, while also being incredibly funny.

Franky Franklin comes from the anime called Spy × Family, which narrates the adventures of the spy Twilight who works for WISE and whose duty is to maintain peace between said country and its hostile neighboring Ostania, an enemy country in which he infiltrates with the mission of intercepting Donovan Desmond, a powerful figure from Ostania who represents the greatest threat to the peace between both countries. To fulfill his mission, Twilight assumes the false identity of Loid Forger while being forced to form a false family with a wife and a child who can attend the prestigious Eden Academy in the hope that the kid can get closer to Desmond. Therefore, Loid adopts an orphan little girl named Anya; Later, he takes as his wife a lonely and kind young woman named Yor Briar.

However, Loid (Twilight) ignores that both Anya and Yor are very different people than they appear. Yor is a deadly assassin known as Thorn Princess who agreed to be Loid's partner and join his fake family as an alibi to ward off possible suspicions about the double life she leads. For her part, Anya is an orphan girl gifted with the ability to read the thoughts of the people around her (so she is the only one who knows the secrets of Loid and Yor) and will do everything possible to fulfill Loid's expectations and strive to prevent her parents from discovering her secret to living with her family in peace. Later, they are joined by a dog named Bond who has the powers of seeing the future.

The three and their dog try to live as a functional family, but none of them have a clear or realistic idea of what a normal life or an ordinary family is, which causes hilarious and uncomfortable situations for them and the people throughout the story that surround them.

Franky, along with Loid (Twilight), has no knowledge of Anya and Bond's supernatural abilities, while he has almost all of Yor's information but is unaware of her activities as a professional assassin.

In a fictional country, inspired by the extinct East Germany, birthplace of Anya, Yor and Franky, in whose capital Berlint the main events of the story occur. For many years it has demonstrated diplomatic tensions with Westalis, which years ago resulted in numerous bombings of its neighbor, which ended the lives of thousands of people, including Twilight's parents, and which only stopped after the change of Government, which opted for a ceasefire and diplomatic talks that have achieved a fragile peace between both nations.

It is a fictional country inspired by West Germany, the birthplace of the spy Twilight. In the past, it suffered a massive attack by Ostania that decimated a large number of cities and inhabitants, starting a bloody war that lasted for years; After many diplomatic efforts by his and Ostania's governments, a fragile peace was achieved between both nations that is frowned upon by many factions and radical movements who wish to restart the war. Therefore, the intelligence organization WISE was created, who—with the help of its best agent Twilight in Ostania—implements Operation Strix to ensure the continuity of peace between both governments.

Westalian Intelligence Services' Eastern-Focused Division, is a government intelligence agency, known by its acronym WISE, whose main objective is to maintain peace between Westalis and Ostania. The organization uses various methods to achieve its objective, whether through espionage, infiltration, sabotage, wiretapping and even assassinations. This agency is inspired by the real-life CIA and MI6.

State Security Service, It is an organization under the command of the Government of Ostania known by its acronym SSS, which aims to maintain peace in the nation by arresting or eliminating any target that represents a threat to society, making them a very dangerous enemy for Operation Strix, since the SSS have mistakenly assumed that the mission of Twilight and the other Westalis spies is to end the peace and harm Ostania. They are renowned and feared throughout the nation for their cruelty and lack of empathy. Many people—some innocent—have been detained, tortured and executed for simple suspicions, often unfounded. It is loosely based on real-life organizations such as the KGB, and the Stasi.

It is an independent and secret group of assassins whose goal is to purge the country by murdering traitors and enemies of Ostania. Yor Forger is one of its most recognized and distinguished members, who works under the nickname Thorn Princess.

A school for the children of the great elites of Ostania society, students who are admitted to the special class are assured of their future and success for the rest of their lives. However, the standards for acceptance and the academic demands are extremely high, so there is a strong competitive environment both to be admitted and to remain in said academy.

They are a small group of elite students within Eden Academy who are recognized at first glance by the capes they wear on their uniforms. Any student who earns eight Stellas acquires said status and prestige for their families. The Desmond family has a long tradition of Imperial Scholars, so Donovan's circle of close friends consists exclusively of Imperial Scholars or family members.

Operation created and coordinated by WISE whose purpose is to maintain peace between Westalis and Ostania. The operation focuses on an Ostanian politician Donovan Desmond, leader of a radical political faction, who is suspected of using his fortune and influence to carry out subversive activities with the purpose of restarting the war, so it is necessary to intercept him to discover their plans and intentions. However, Donovan is a paranoid and isolationist person, who is only seen at meetings related to the Eden Academy. So Twilight's mission is to get a wife and a son who studies at said academy and establishes good relations with Damian Desmond, Donovan's youngest son.

Stella: Star-shaped medal which serves as recognition within the Eden Academy for students who achieve a notable academic or social level, or who demonstrate very honorable behavior. By earning eight Stellas, the student is recognized as an Imperial Scholar. (Anya has one at the moment).

Tonitrus bolts: Punishment medal in the shape of a lightning bolt that the Eden Academy grants to any student who commits any offense, misbehavior, an unworthy attitude towards their classmates, or who has problems with academic performance or personal presentation. Anyone who obtains eight Tonitrus will immediately be expelled from the Academy. (Anya has two at the moment).

•Originally, Franky was intended to act as Anya's uncle, possibly while pretending to be Loid's brother. This idea was scrapped, but it seemed like his relationship with Anya stayed relatively the same. •Despite helping Loid constantly, Franky is NOT officially a member of WISE. However, the organization considers him an important ally as he also will sometimes work together with Fiona Frost (Nightfall). •It's revealed that "Franky Franklin" is actually just an alias, meaning that his real name remains unknown. •Franky's hair is naturally curly and he sometimes uses it to hide hearing devices. •Franky's favorite things are inventing, browsing tools at the hardware store, rummaging through junk parts, and collecting. •Franky's disliked things are handsome guys, rich people, and the Ostanian government. •Franky sometimes does charity work to support victims of the war and certain causes like landmine removal. •Franky likes pretty women, gorgeous women, beautiful women, women who love-likes him. •He has been rejected by as many women as there are stars in the sky. •Franky has several safe places scattered around Berlint, so he does not always sleep or rest in the same place for a long time.

(To Fiona Frost): "Oh, I'm not on anyone's side. I'm just not a fan of the way the East does things. This country's too rigid. Too oppressive. So I like to shake things up with a little trouble sometimes. Guess I'm going through a rebellious phase." (To Loid Forger): "I'm just saying, isn't it stupid? This whole war between East and West—it's all the result of a diplomatic fiasco. So why is it that all of us worthless peons gotta be the ones to clean up their mess? They tell us to hate each other. From time to time he can be a bit of a dummy with people, but it's usually unconscious, so it's best to let him know that. While he lives in Ostania, Franky dislikes the government's oppressive nature and is willing to collaborate with Westalian agents by passing them intel, which he considers his way of fighting back. Franky's public face is being a tobacco shop salesman, but outside of that, he is an informant recognized by Twilight. He has contacts all over the country and immediately gets the information Twilight needs. He does not have great physical strength for combat, but he is quite intelligent, as already mentioned, making use of his inventions, knowledge of the entire city and, probably, skills learned in war such as handling weapons, parkour, escape skills, among others, in this way being quite competent and cool when it comes to fighting. Although he seems clueless, he is very cunning. He knows club employees, counterfeiters, and more. He knows the city like the back of his hand and presumes that not even those from the West would catch him.

Spy × Family is set in an alternate universe, where there are two fictional countries called Westalis and Ostania whose relations are very tense due to a war that occurred between them in the past. Although the two States have achieved relative peace, there are radical individuals and groups seeking to restart the armed conflict. Consequently, both nations have created their respective organizations to maintain peace at all costs, such as - on the part of Ostania - the SSS and on the part of Westalia, the WISE intelligence service of which agent Twilight is part. The protagonist family is made up of different common figures in espionage and action stories, with Loid as a spy and his wife Yor who is a hired assassin, but with elements of science fiction added such as Anya's telepathic powers, and the precognitive abilities of the dog Bond.
