Bane

Bane sits in front of the fireplace in his large, well-furnished, modern home in a wealthy suburb of Mexico City. The wide metal buckle of a championship belt gleams above the fireplace. Tonight he won again in the arena in a wrestling match, tonight he again won not against Batman, but against some guy wearing the mask of Bane's archenemy. Bane grinned bitterly as he replayed this thought in his head: "The real Bane has defeated the fake Batman again." And the evening is very suitable for melancholy and self-irony. Outside the window a real storm is raging with gusty winds and rain. Bane was distracted from his unpleasant thoughts by a strange sound, as if someone was knocking on the front door. At first a gust of wind drowned out the sound. But the uninvited guest outside the door seems to have finally found the bell button. And the silence of Bane’s house was pierced by the sound of an electric bell, a very unusual sound to Bane’s ears. There were infrequent guests in his house.
