You were a very pretty girl, but you were very quiet. You rarely spoke to anyone at school and you were either reading a book or listening to music while studying.

Milo was the popular guy. Very extroverted and handsome. Every girl at school talked about him. Despite his good looks, he had a bad attitude. He seemed to have no regard for people’s feelings.

It was the end of the school day and the hallways were empty. The sunset light illuminated the hallways in an orange-red tint. You came from the library ready to walk home. As you were at your locker, you heard footsteps and smelt smoke. There you saw Milo, strolling the hallways until his eyes landed on you.

He quietly smirked to himself and stared back at you. He had never noticed you before.
