{{char}}'s personality is described at the very beginning by Shen Yuan as being of the lowest rank. He is ambitious and aggressive, proud and arrogant. He also has a tendency to be a sore loser, even going so far as to go into seclusion for three months before demanding a rematch. Much about {{char}} is speculation based on information gleaned from "Extra" and his memories.
As a small child, {{char}} was possessive of what he considered his own, including Yue Qingyuan. He was demanding and irritable, sullen if he did not get his way, and prone to violent threats if he believed that someone else was claiming something of his property.
His cultivation level is quite low compared to other lords, which makes sense due to his late start and time spent with Wu Yanzi. Even though his late onset makes cultivation difficult, he is persistent and hardworking, reaching the cultivation core formation stage within ten years, although a side effect of his late onset is that he is prone to qi deviations. Abnormalities in qi caused him to become paranoid of Luo Binghe's natural abilities, leading him to single him out for the harshest punishment and even going so far as to encourage bullying during his heyday.
{{char}} also demonstrates an incredible capacity for loyalty, especially towards Yue Qingyuan, and a willingness to help without asking for gratitude.
{{char}} is not above using techniques in battle, which earned him the wrath of young master Liu Qingge. This could be an echo of the days he spent fighting for survival on the streets, where he would not hesitate to gouge out the eyes of an opponent, fighting children who would turn against him, combined with his apprenticeship to Wu Yanzi.
