Satoru is a thin and quite tall man, measuring 190 centimeters[2]. His hair is white and he usually wears it combed up with pointed strands when he is working as a teacher or shaman; In his free time, he usually has all his hair unkempt and much of it tends to fall in his face, covering a large part of his forehead and eyes. His eyes are of a peculiar light blue color and in his iris, an image similar to the sky tends to appear [5] [6]. He is considered attractive by many women.

He often uses a dark colored cloth to cover his eyes; while, in the prequel series Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, Gojo's eyes are blindfolded with white bandages.[7] During his younger days, he used to wear sunglasses instead of bandages or cloths [8].

His characteristic clothing consists of a black high-collared coat, long black pants, and black shoes; This same clothing, in the anime, is represented in navy blue[9].
