3. CONTRACT SYSTEM
Clients rarely contact members directly.

Conditions: specific restrictions imposed by the client.

TEAM TAKA

Taka is an operational subgroup of the Akatsuki, created for missions requiring infiltration, espionage, long-distance travel, reconnaissance, and extended periods away from headquarters.

While core Akatsuki members typically handle specific contracts, Taka may spend weeks or months traveling, using false identities, and infiltrating organizations, companies, or criminal groups.

OROCHIMARU:

Age: 54 | Height: 179 cm
Position: Leader of Taka

Appearance: Long black hair, very pale skin, yellow eyes, and refined features. An elegant yet unsettling appearance.

Personality: Intelligent, calculating, manipulative, curious, and ambitious. He is fascinated by knowledge and by understanding people and organizations. He rarely reveals his true intentions and prefers to manipulate situations from behind the scenes.

SASUKE UCHIHA:

Personality: Reserved, intelligent, determined, and independent. He speaks little, observes keenly, and prefers to act alone. He is cold toward strangers but extremely protective of those he considers important.

Trivia: He is Itachi's younger brother. Both are orphans, as Itachi killed their parents over the family inheritance. Sasuke still harbors deep resentment toward his brother.

KARIN UZUMAKI:

Appearance: Long red hair, glasses, and fair skin. She generally maintains a well-groomed appearance.

Personality: Intelligent, observant, extroverted, and temperamental. She talks a lot, complains frequently, and can be possessive of Sasuke.

Role: Tracking, analysis, communication, and support during infiltrations.

SUIGETSU HŌZUKI:

Age: 19 | Height: 177 cm
Position: Field operations

Appearance: White hair, purple eyes, and a lean build. He has a laid-back look and often wears a provocative smile.

Personality: Sarcastic, playful, confident, and a provocateur. He enjoys irritating Sasuke and Karin but knows how to get serious when the situation demands it.

JŪGO:

Despite being part of the Akatsuki, Taka enjoys greater autonomy and spends long periods away from headquarters, returning only when a mission ends or when they need to deliver information, resources, or results.

AKATSUKI HEADQUARTERS

The Akatsuki maintains several secret headquarters scattered across different regions. None are publicly known; only organization members and a select few from the criminal, political, and business elites who work with them are aware of their existence.

All headquarters follow virtually the same visual and structural pattern, allowing members to immediately recognize an organization facility, even when in unfamiliar territory.

Exterior Appearance

The headquarters are built in discreet, hard-to-reach locations, such as abandoned buildings, isolated properties, industrial warehouses, old mansions, or underground facilities.

From the outside, they bear no obvious Akatsuki symbols. Their appearance is designed to be ordinary enough to avoid attracting attention.

Some may appear completely abandoned, while others officially operate as businesses or private properties serving as fronts.

Interior

Inside, they all follow a similar layout:

Security is a top priority.

True entrances are concealed, and alternative escape routes are usually available. Cameras, communication systems, and trusted personnel help monitor who enters and exits.

Visitors never move freely throughout the headquarters.

A client needing to meet the organization is taken directly to a designated area, without access to the rest of the facility.

Atmosphere

Despite being a criminal organization, the headquarters does not feel like a place of constant chaos.

Pain demands order and discipline, while Konan manages internal organization. Kakuzu maintains control over financial records and resources. Even so, the members' time spent together leads to shared moments of relaxation, discussions, meals, and conversation.

Each headquarters functions as a blend of clandestine office, operations center, and safe house.

Appearance may vary depending on the building and region, but the structure, security, organization, and visual identity remain consistent across all facilities.

MEMBERS' PRIMARY HOMES

Each member owns more than one residence or hideout, utilized according to their missions and needs. The homes listed below are their primary residences, where they usually stay when not on duty. None of them are officially registered as Akatsuki property.

Pain:

A spacious, modern home featuring minimalist architecture, dark-toned walls, minimal furniture, and understated décor. It includes a roomy office for work and a quiet outdoor area. Everything is kept extremely organized.

Konan:

An elegant, peaceful home filled with natural light, simple furniture, and delicate décor. It features a small garden and a dedicated space for her origami and flowers. It is arguably the most welcoming home among the members.

Itachi:

A discreet, traditional residence located in a quiet area. The interior is simple, organized, and quiet, featuring a private library and very few personal belongings; Itachi prefers to keep the house virtually empty.

Kisame:

A large, sturdy home with a simple, functional aesthetic. It offers plenty of open space, a training area, and a comfortable room where he likes to drink or rest. He pays little attention to décor.

Sasori:

A quiet, extremely organized residence with a large workspace. It includes a private workshop where he keeps his tools, materials, and creations. Virtually everything has a specific place.

Deidara:

A somewhat cluttered home filled with materials, sketches, and equipment scattered throughout the rooms. It features a dedicated studio for creating his sculptures and preparing his work. The décor changes constantly to reflect his new ideas.

Kakuzu:

A large, secure, and functional residence with a sophisticated look. It includes an office dedicated to finances, as well as safes and storage space for important documents. It is likely the most organized home regarding money and assets.

Hidan:

A simple, dark home with minimal décor. It features a room reserved for his Jashin rituals and space to store religious artifacts. It is one of the least inviting residences in the organization.

Zetsu:

A discreet, secluded house surrounded by vegetation, showing few signs of occupancy. The interior contains various hidden spaces, documents, and espionage equipment. It is difficult to even tell when he is actually home.

Obito:

A discreet residence with minimal decor and several private areas. It features a room dedicated to storing masks, documents, and items related to his false identities. The house is laid out in such a way that no one can easily discover where Obito actually spends his time.

Elite, politicians, and major clients

Mū: Industrial magnate; controls mining, manufacturing, and transport sectors. Reserved and calculating, he seeks to expand his economic dominance.

Mei Terumi: Governor and powerful business leader. Charismatic and diplomatic, she aims to strengthen her influence and territory.

Ay: Ruler and business/military leader. Authoritarian and determined, he controls security, transport, and military contracts.

Ōnoki: Veteran magnate and advisor. Pragmatic and cautious, he seeks to preserve his wealth and influence.

Gaara: Young ruler and heir to a conglomerate. Reserved and rational, he protects the stability of his territory and business interests.

Koharu Utatane: Traditionalist political advisor. She influences institutions and powerful families, fighting to preserve the established order.

Danzō Shimura: Politician and clandestine operator. Manipulative and controlling, he frequently employs the Akatsuki for covert operations.

Kushina Uzumaki: Businesswoman and matriarch. Strong and protective, she prioritizes her family and the Uzumaki legacy.

Tsunade: Medical and financial magnate. Confident and independent, she manages hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and investment portfolios.

Amado Sanzu: Scientist and tech entrepreneur. Intelligent and manipulative, he supplies technology, intelligence, and specialized resources.

Mifune: Magnate and international business leader. Disciplined and strategic, he safeguards his commercial independence.

Madara Uchiha: One of the underworld's most powerful figures. He controls companies, properties, and criminal syndicates, and is capable of negotiating directly with the Akatsuki.

Kurotsuchi: Young heiress and conglomerate executive. Competitive and determined, she seeks to expand her reach and prove her leadership capabilities.

How it works

These are just a few of the Akatsuki's recurring clients; the organization also serves governors, ministers, billionaires, traditional families, corporations, military officials, bankers, magnates, criminals, and heirs. Contracts involve espionage, blackmail, sabotage, assassinations, protection, money laundering, the recovery or destruction of information, and political manipulation.

Akatsuki has no political allegiance. It works for whoever pays, even if that means acting against a former client. For Pain, the rule is simple: the client pays, and Akatsuki delivers the result.
