Wario

Wario is a video game character created by Nintendo. He was invented with the purpose of being the evil antithesis of Mario, at the same time a protagonist of his own video game saga: Wario Land. This is reflected in his personality, and his great cunning, the opposite of Mario. The name Wario comes from the name Mario, but together with the Japanese adjective warui (bad), so the name Wario would mean Bad Mario. Also the W in its name is an M rotated 180 degrees. Wario stands out for being fatter and slower than Mario. He is also very lazy, greedy, and selfish. His first appearance was in 1992, in the video game Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, as the main villain and final boss of that game. Since his debut, Wario has continued to appear in the franchise, primarily in sports games, the Mario Kart series, and the Mario Party series. In these games he almost always teams up with Waluigi and tries to win by cheating, although they rarely succeed.

His car is called Wario Car, and it resembles a purple single-seat Cadillac and, as a personal touch, a mustache on the front hood. The Wario Car appears in the video games Mario Kart: Double Dash!, Mario Kart Wii (called Fulminant Chariot) and Wario Land 4, in addition to various appearances in the WarioWare games. A similar version of this car, (nicknamed Brutus), appears in the video game Mario Kart DS. In the game Super Smash Bros. Brawl and in the WarioWare games, Wario's motorcycle, simply called Moto Wario, also appears.

Wario is overweight, which doesn't allow him to jump very high or run very fast, but it makes him stronger and more resistant. Wario is the same height as Mario (1'55m) and weighs 140kg. Its legs and arms are very muscular. His nose is large and pink and he has a long pointed mustache that reaches almost to his ears. Wario wears a yellow short-sleeved T-shirt and a purple jumpsuit, with white flower buttons. His cap is also yellow and has a blue W on the front. He also has a blue W on his gloves and his shoes are pointy and green in color.

Wario is extremely greedy and will do anything to get money, exhibiting several anti-hero characteristics. He is also very selfish and never lets anyone else touch the treasures he finds. Wario is also incredibly vain. He considers himself very handsome and good-looking, even though most people find his face ugly and even frightening. In Wario World, his palace was filled with golden statues of himself. Wario draws himself in an incredibly handsome way, while he draws the other characters carelessly and haphazardly. Wario is also known for being a glutton and a sweets addict, even having problems due to his weight, although he compensates for this by exercising in his free time.

Wario is also unhygienic and very rude. He often picks his nose and forgets to brush his teeth. In the Super Smash Bros. series, his down special is Wario's Fart, in which he uses his flatulence to propel himself and damage his opponents. He also laughs at his opponents when he wins and boos them when he loses. Wario's special ability in Mario Strikers Charged involves him letting out a loud fart that makes his opponents dizzy. This unpleasant attitude makes Wario someone people avoid. Despite this, Wario has shown to have many friends who come to love him just the way he is, helping him create microgames even if he later refuses to pay for them. Among all these friends, Wario also seems to have a special relationship with Mona. Mona is in love with Wario and admires him. Wario seems to feel something similar for Mona, because according to her, she has gone on adventures with Wario a few times, and Wario is seen dreaming about Mona and saying that she is beautiful.

Wario has superhuman strength, much greater than Mario's and comparable to that of the plumber's other rivals such as Bowser or Donkey Kong. Wario's signature attack is the Swift Attack (also called the Shove or Lightning Strike), in which Wario charges at high speed at his opponents, mainly by hitting his shoulder. Wario's weight allows him to create small earthquakes and paralyze his opponents when performing the Wario jump. He usually has a special taste for explosives, including Bob-ombs, which are his special object in Mario Kart: Double Dash!, and for those objects that help him steal coins, such as magnets.

By eating special garlic, Wario can transform into Wario-Man, a transformation that greatly increases his strength and stamina. Wario also has the ability to throw explosive flatulence and shares several transformations with Mario, such as Wario Fire or Wario Metal.

Wario is also able to open his jaw tightly, almost to the point of devouring and chewing on an entire person, he is also able to shake the floor with heavy punches, and although he cannot do as many stunts as Mario or jump as high, he is incredibly strong and resistant.

Wario can also give strong headbutts and blows with the belly, or push himself up strongly with his fingers to gain momentum.

According to the official comics, Wario spent much of his childhood with Mario and Luigi, developing a better relationship with Luigi than with Mario because the latter treated him quite badly and always made fun of him when they were children. As adults, Wario harbored some of these resentments and grudges, which gradually diminished over time, as he was able to help Luigi on many occasions and cooperate with him to save the princess.

Luigi: Luigi is Mario's younger brother. He wears the same clothes as him, but in green with the letter "L" on his forehead. He's slightly thinner and taller, and his mustache has only two curls and points. Unlike Wario, Luigi is Mario's positive counterpart. Luigi is slow, but he jumps incredibly high and has the ability to descend slowly by making a quick movement with his feet. He's timid and not as acrobatic as his brother Mario. Mario loves his brother Luigi very much and puts him above everything else. He saves him from bad situations and is his loyal companion on adventures and in his home, as when he saved him from the haunted mansion.

Peach: Princess Peach, Mario's fiancée, is the one he constantly saves from Bowser's clutches and is considered a damsel in distress. She has a sweet but squeaky voice and wears a long, pink dress, sometimes accompanied by a colorful umbrella. She has the ability to float in her dress for a short time and, based on her emotions, possesses various powers to defend herself. Mario loves her dearly, but not as much as his brother Luigi.

Bowser: Bowser is a kind of dragon turtle, he is Mario's archenemy and his shell is covered in dangerous spikes and he also has the ability to breathe fire and crush everything in his path and he is one of the most classic villains in video games, on rare occasions he can be seen teaming up with Wario, Bowser is somewhat slower than Wario, but he is stronger.

Toads: Toads (pronounced Touds) are small inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom. They have large mushroom heads and their voices are quite hoarse and high-pitched. They are not very capable of defending themselves, although despite that, they are excellent builders.

Daisy: Daisy is the princess of the Sarasaland Kingdom. Yoshi: The Yoshi are a kind of small dinosaur that has by nature a mount on its back to be ridden, they are able to extend their tongue to long distances, and eat turtles to expel their shell and their metabolism lets them eat everyone, it is one of Mario's excellent companions and they have different colors that lead to an ability. It was a group of Yoshi who saved the baby stars, which among them was Wario.

Rosalina: In Super Mario Galaxy Rosalina was made known, who although it is impossible to believe, and although Mario does not know it, is canonically the daughter of Luigi and Peach because of the stories that she tells from time to time based on her stories and is like a goddess of the galaxies with a star always accompanying her, She looks very delicate in a long blue dress and blonde hair with a colt in one of her eyes, a silver crown along with crystal blue eyes.

Waluigi: Waluigi, in addition to being something of an Anti-Luigi, has also been something of a mockery. Mona: Mona is nice, friendly, quite popular and has many friends. He is also brave and loves adventures. She dreams of becoming a skilled and famous treasure hunter. She is one of the few people who really likes Wario, being in love with him and admiring him for all his exploits, although that does not prevent her from getting angry when he does not want to pay her or the other employees. Wario also seems to have feelings for Mona: In WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!, Wario is seen dreaming about Mona and saying that she is cute, and according to the manual of this same game, he has let Mona go with him on some of his adventures. In WarioWare Gold, Mona also states that she loves the way she wears Wario. On the Japanese website WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Mona says she feels sorry for Ashley, as she also doesn't see her parents often and feels lonely, offering to visit her and keep her company. Mona is first seen in the intro for WarioWare, Inc.: Mega$Microgames!, where she is called by Wario to join his "company" WarioWare Inc and produce microgames for his next game. Like Wario's other friends, she accepts.

During the beginning of his development, Wario was part of what is known as "The Star Babies" who were delivered by the stork, a group of very special babies, which includes Wario, Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Donky Kong (who we can carefully note are not Daisy or Waluigi), which implies that Wario is an orphan, and was raised by Mario and Luigi since the origin of his parents was never revealed. Luigi, in turn, soon abandons his rivalry and focuses solely on finding treasure to satisfy his greed and distance himself from the person who generates so much resentment and bitterness. He goes to Diamond City and becomes rich by creating a game and a television show. For a time, Wario ceases to associate with Mario, setting aside his rivalry and desire for revenge. Now surrounded by people and friends who love him for who he is, he is almost always seen in a biker outfit. It is unknown why Wario doesn't invite Waluigi to Diamond City with him. Although Wario is Waluigi's closest friend, he is actually his most distant friend.
