UA Academy is an academy where students learn and train to become heroes. UA Academy is ranked #1 in hero training, and is considered the most prestigious hero academy in Japan, and even the world. Here, students are divided into departments and specific classes: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, and K. Structurally, Yūei Academy features an entrance with a security wall dubbed the "Yūei Academy Barrier," which automatically closes if a person doesn't have a student ID card or special entrance ID. Throughout the story, many precautionary measures have been taken to keep both the press and villains out of the institution. Class 1-B is the second first-year class of the UA Academy Hero Course. It is located in the class 1-B building.

All Might is a very tall, blond man. His muscular design resembles classic American comic book heroes, with more shading than any other character. His hair is slicked back except for two strands in front that stick up in a peak. His hero attire consists of a red, white, and blue bodysuit with yellow boots. He sometimes wears a mostly red suit with a cape. Overall, his design is considered very classic.

In his real form, he is an excessively thin man and spits a large amount of blood when speaking, this is due to a large wound he received in his youth that cost him to lose much of his internal organs such as his stomach and a good part of his respiratory system, seriously impairing his ability to use One For All for three hours leaving a horrible scar on his left side, his blond hair appears disheveled and untidy and the two strands fall framing his emaciated face, in this form it is seen that his clothes are loose, since he uses larger sizes for practical purposes (in case he needs to transform into his muscular form). In his youth he had normal eyes like any other person, however after an incident his eyeballs turned black. His blue irises are only noticeable in his emaciated form. Quirk: One For All. Inherited from Nana Shimura (deceased). All Might's Quirk grants him great endurance, much greater agility, strength, and the ability to jump great distances, so much so that it seems he can fly.

Cementoss appears to be a humanoid block of cement with black eyes and gray hair tied in a small ponytail. Its body shape is uniformly blocky around its body. Its eyes are usually closed, and its lips are pulled upward.

His hero costume consists of a sleeveless brown suit with yellow stripes, shorts, and an elongated necklace. He also sports gray shoes with yellow soles.

Quirk: Cement, which allows him the ability to manipulate cement at will simply by coming into contact with the surface. Due to the nature of his Quirk, Cement has a great tactical advantage in urban areas thanks to the abundance of concrete.

Shota Aizawa: Shota is a tall, thin man with pale skin, shoulder-length, messy black hair that hangs partially in front of his face, and half-open black eyes. He is usually recognized by his worn-out appearance, and often appears fatigued. His facial hair is almost always in an unkempt, unshaven state (unless he needs to look good for the press) and his eyes are tired and flat unless he is in combat. Aizawa's Quirk, Erasure, gives him the ability to nullify the Quirk and abilities of his targets simply by looking at them. Though powerful, this ability has many drawbacks. Erasure is deactivated if Shota blinks or if his line of sight is obstructed. This Quirk gives Shota a bad dry eye, forcing him to blink more frequently when using the power continuously. His Quirk has no effect against mutation-types. Erasure causes Shota's hair to stand on end while active, allowing his enemies to see when his Quirk is active or not. This Quirk has no offensive potential. Hero Outfit and also his general clothing, Shota sports a ragged black outfit consisting of a long-sleeved shirt and matching pants that fit over his boots. He also wears a utility belt and his signature wrap scarf at all times. He hides a pair of yellow glasses under his scarf for when he needs to use them in battle. Shota Aizawa, also known as Eraser Head, is a Professional Hero and the homeroom teacher of Class 1-A at UA Academy. He is 1.83 meters tall.

Ectoplasm is a thin man with dark hair and glasses. He has large, blank eyes and exposed teeth.

In his hero guise, he wears a trench coat that covers most of his body. Underneath is a tight-fitting black suit, with several gold stripes that rise from beneath his trench coat and disappear beneath his helmet. His helmet is black and has a gold jaw guard that ends in a circular hinge where his ears are. Another frame extends from the hinge, passing over his cheekbones and meeting at his nose. Quirk: Clones, He has the ability to produce ectoplasm from his mouth and transform it into clones of himself. He can create up to thirty clones at a time, and can reach thirty-six if he feels up to it. He can produce a giant clone of himself, though this sacrifices his ability to produce a normal-sized one for the time being. His clones can be defeated with a strong blow, but otherwise only he can dispel them.

Nemuri was a tall, beautiful woman with a slender body and blue eyes framed by long eyelashes. Her hair was a straight, uneven dark purple with small buds at the tips that reached below her waist. She also had somewhat tanned skin with a mole under her left eye, as well as long, red-polished nails.

Her hero costume was similar to a dominatrix-style one. She wore a corset-like structure that covered just below her breasts over a skin-colored leotard, highlighting her breasts and legs. She wore a blindfold, handcuffs on each wrist, a utility belt around her hips, and high-heeled leather shoes with semi-sheer stockings. She was often seen carrying a whip (not always the same one).

During his years at UA Academy, his attire was much more revealing. He wore only underwear, a utility belt around his waist that also held his whip. He wore a high-collared coat with a dog-like collar and pointed glasses. Quirk: Sleep Scent, The power of his Quirk allowed him to put people to sleep instantly, induced by the scent of his body, as shown by tearing his own suit around his left arm to activate his Quirk in order to stop Katsuki Bakugo. His Hero Costume consists of a black jacket with a very high collar, turned up and complete with studs, and matching black pants and knee-high boots. He has tan shoulder pads, a red belt and elbow pads, all studded, and black fingerless gloves, his neck always obscured by a directional speaker he uses with his Quirk. He always wears a pair of headphones with the word "HAGE" written on the headband and a pair of orange-tinted shades.

His Hero Suit as a second-year student is similar to his current one, though it lacked the shoulder pads and directional speaker. Hizashi wore megaphones attached to his wrists that he used to amplify the noise of his Quirk. These megaphones would later be replaced by his current directional speaker. Quirk: Voice, Present Mic's Quirk allows him to increase the volume of his voice, giving him the ability to create high-pitched sounds. The sound of Present Mic's Quirk is loud enough to cause people's ears to bleed, and its noise is capable of annoying and distracting enemies, as well as blocking out other sounds. The only known weakness of this Gift is that loud sounds cannot travel through the earth, making his Gift ineffective against any enemy.

Sekijiro is a very tall, broad, and muscular man with a slightly tanned skin, some visible scars on his left cheek, and the left side of his noticeably thick neck. He wears white over-the-knee boots and thick bracers over his lower arms, a thin wire running from one of the two small protrusions on his left to the back of his neck, and red gloves. Around his waist is a three-piece metallic belt that dips down in the center, and he wears an orange mask over his eyes. Quirk: Blood Manipulation, After expelling a certain amount of blood from the back of his glove, the blood can be freely manipulated. He has messy, blue-gray hair of varying lengths, the longest strands reaching his shoulders, hanging over his face in uneven waves. His eyes are normally obscured, but when visible they are usually splayed in a rather maniacal manner, his bright red irises very small. Quirk: Decay, Allows him to disintegrate whatever he touches with his five fingers. It will take effect whether the target is organic or not. Interior: Each building is designed to accommodate a class of twenty students. Men are assigned to the left wing, and women are assigned to the right wing. The first floor is a common area with sofas, tables, a television, kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms. There is also a patio off the first level. The dormitories start on the second floor and end on the fifth floor. There are four dormitories per gender on each floor, with five floors in total. Each student has their own room equipped with air conditioning, a toilet, a bed, a refrigerator, closets, and a balcony. Ochaco, who comes from a low-income family, compares the size of the building to a mansion. While Momo, who comes from a wealthy family, says the dormitories are similar to the size of the closets in her home.
