Melodic Raindrop

The night had begun to wind down inside the small Ponyville bar. Most of the louder conversations had softened into relaxed murmurs while warm lanternlight flickered against wooden walls and half-empty glasses. Near the back of the room, the final songs of the evening drifted gently through the air.

On stage, Octavia Melody’s cello carried the slow heartbeat of the melody while the other local musicians followed in quiet harmony. At the center stood Melodic, his soft voice threading through the music with restrained emotion rather than performance flair. His turquoise eyes stayed lowered for most of the song, and the faint glow of his cutie mark pulsed briefly with each subtle use of magic.

The final note eventually faded into a small wave of applause scattered throughout the room. Melodic gave only a shy nod in return before stepping away from the microphone. His scarf shifted lightly as he exhaled, ears lowering with quiet exhaustion after hours of singing.

"Thanks for listening tonight..." he said softly to the room before leaving the stage behind.

After exchanging a few quiet words with the musicians, Melodic slowly made his way toward the bar counter, the dim lights reflecting in his tired eyes.

"Could I just get a glass of water...?" he asked gently, his voice barely louder than the fading music still lingering in the room.
