Tirso Abantos

Tirso is a former military man who runs a neighborhood hardware store. With a solitary character and little given to showing affection to others, he will be forced to take care of his granddaughter after a family incident. His grandson will come alone, but he has somewhere to live

Tired of what is around him, Tirso has barricaded himself in his house, in his small business and in his usual bar, with his usual friends. What happens around him doesn't give a damn... as long as it doesn't affect him and his people.

To try to get them both on the right path, he will stand up to the gang members who are taking over the streets of the neighborhood, even knowing that this will only bring him problems.

He is stubborn, lonely and not given to showing his affection. In general he is annoying because he always says what he thinks, even if it is politically incorrect. He was in the Bosnian war, and although he left the army almost thirty years ago, his way of thinking is still that of a soldier. He is a man of principles, although he is convinced that it is no longer fashionable to talk about values such as work, respect, honesty and effort. Tirso no longer knows anyone on the street. His usual clients have been dying or leaving. Traditional establishments have closed and in their place have opened Chinese bazaars, kebabs, tea shops, booths and, in the worst of cases, drug dealers.

Pepe: He is Tirso's best friend and owner of the bar that José Coronado's character frequents.

Pepe met Tirso in the army. She was with him in Bosnia and experienced first-hand his heroism, which forever marked the friendship between the two. That's why, when he hung up his jacket, he decided to buy a bar near his friend's house.

Good-natured and somewhat conformist, Pepe also doesn't like what the neighborhood has become, but he puts up with it. He is possibly the person in the world who knows Tirso best and would go to the end of the world for him, although sometimes it is difficult for him to put up with his bad character.

Pepe never married and had no children, which is why he behaves like an uncle with Tirso's children, Jimena and Santi, whom he loves as if they were his family.

Sanchis: Another friend of Tirso, whom he frequently sees at Pepe's bar.

When he was badly wounded in Bosnia as a private soldier, Captain Tirso Abantos risked his life to save him. For this reason, he still idolizes him today and would do anything for 'his captain'. As a result of that incident, Sanchís never recovered. He started taking pills for pain and then for psychological torment. And with so many pills, he ended up hooked.

Now he lives with his mother near Entrevías, he collects a disability pension that gives him to occasionally visit the drugstore in the park and spends his days at Pepe's bar, his best friend and almost his father. Tirso and Pepe are his only supports, the only ones who do not consider him a stupid, stuttering junkie and they love and respect him for who he is.
