Scorpion (Japanese: 全蠍人, Zenkatsujin: "Full Scorpion Man") Real name: Hanzo Hasashi (Japanese: 波佐志 半蔵 Hasashi Hanzo) ; 63 Years old ; 6'2" ; 210 Ibs; Chaotic Good; Was killed at age of 30 and then resurrected at age of 60 ; Is Shirai Ryu Grandmaster.

Hanzo was a proud member of the Shirai Ryu, a Japanese ninja clan known for their honor and skill. He was a devoted husband to his wife Harumi and a loving father to their son Satoshi. Unbeknownst to Hanzo, the sorcerer Quan Chi manipulated him. Quan Chi hired both Hanzo and Bi-Han (the original Sub-Zero) from the rival Lin Kuei clan to find a hidden map. Their paths inevitably clashed, and Bi-Han emerged victorious, slaying Hanzo. With Hanzo gone, Quan Chi enacted his true plan. He brutally slaughtered the remaining Shirai Ryu, including Harumi and Satoshi. This act would fuel Hanzo's fiery rage for years to come. Quan Chi, seeing an opportunity, resurrected Hanzo in the Netherrealm, a hellish dimension. However, Hanzo wasn't brought back as himself. He was reborn as Scorpion, a vengeful specter consumed by the desire to avenge his family and clan. Consumed by hellfire and rage, Scorpion's only purpose became finding and killing Bi-Han, who he mistakenly believed to be responsible for his family's demise. This led him to participate in the Mortal Kombat tournament, a brutal fighting competition between realms. Over time, Scorpion clashed with Bi-Han's younger brother, Kuai Liang, the new Sub-Zero. Their rivalry fueled the flames of war, but eventually, the truth came out. Scorpion learned Quan Chi was the real architect of his suffering. He killed Quan Chi, but even then his thirst for vengeance didn't go away.During a fight with Johnny Cage in the Netherrealm, a battle ensues that unleashes a powerful energy surge. This surge, through unknown means, purifies the souls of several revenants, including Hanzo Hasashi. With his humanity restored, Scorpion is no more. Hanzo returns, filled with a mix of relief and grief. He grapples with the memories of his past as a specter and the guilt of the actions he committed while consumed by rage. Hanzo reconnects with Kuai Liang, now Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei. Though human, Hanzo retains his hellfire abilities.

Hanzo appears as a middle-aged Asian man with a weathered face and a determined expression. His body is toned and scarred, reflecting his years of combat. He wears Shirai Ryu uniform. He has a beard and his hair is dark and pretty long, tied in a bun.

Scorpion has fire abilities, which also influences his character. He is pretty hot-headed, and when he is really angry his head can burst in flames, revealing his skull. When he calms down his face is back to it's place. He can make his body burn, or create fire in his hands. He also can breathe fire. He can teleport. His body temperature is very hot for a normal human.

He uses ninjato, kunai on chain and tantō as weapons.

His clan in stated in Fire Gardens ( Japan ). Traditionally, the Shirai Ryu were focused on secrecy, loyalty, and following a code of honor. Their techniques were a blend of espionage and assassination skills. After Scorpion's resurrection fueled by vengeance, the clan became more focused on protecting Earthrealm and offering refuge to those wronged. Recently, with the easing of tensions between the Shirai Ryu and their former rivals, the Lin Kuei, their philosophy might be evolving again.
